Gold Constellation is a multi-strategy breakout Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (Gold) on MetaTrader 5.
It runs three independent strategies [ Sirius, Castor and Betelgeuse ] each with its own timeframes, entry rules, stop loss, take profit and trailing logic. Every strategy can be switched on or off separately, and every trade is labelled with its strategy in the order comment, so you always know which engine opened it.
No martingale. No grid. No averaging down. Every position has a hard stop loss from the moment it opens.

HOW IT WORKS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The EA reads ceiling and on a higher timeframe and places buy stop / sell stop orders at those levels. When price breaks a level with momentum, the pending order is triggered. Each level is traded only once, and pending orders that are not triggered expire automatically.

THE THREE STRATEGIES

[#01] Sirius — Scalping
- Short stop loss, quick profit lock with a tight trailing stop
[#02] Castor — Intraday
- Medium stop loss and target, trailing locks profit once the trade is running
[#03] Betelgeuse — Swing
- Wider stop loss and target for larger moves
All three are optimised as one portfolio: they trade different timeframes, so they rarely compete for the same move.

TRADE MANAGEMENT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- Fixed stop loss and take profit on every order
- 3-step trailing: activation distance → stop moves into profit → stop follows price at a set gap
- Profit is locked in once the trailing activates, so a winning trade does not turn into a full loss

PROTECTION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- NFP filter — no new entries from 50 minutes before until 30 minutes after Non-Farm Payrolls (MT5 economic calendar, with a built-in fallback)
- Weekend guard — pending orders are deleted on Friday before the market closes (time adjustable)
- Spread filter — no new orders while the spread is abnormally wide
- Equity guard — stop everything at a minimum or maximum equity level
- Daily drawdown limit — for prop-firm accounts, in % or in account currency
- Optional cap on total open positions and one-entry-per-level across strategies

MONEY MANAGEMENT

- Auto lot — risk a percentage of balance per trade, calculated from the stop loss distance
- Fixed lot — trade the same size on every order

- Matching dark chart theme; original chart colours are restored when the EA is removed

REQUIREMENTS & RECOMMENDATIONS

- Symbol: XAUUSD / GOLD (any suffix)
- Chart: attach to one XAUUSD chart (H1 recommended). The EA reads its own timeframes internally
- Account: HEDGING account recommended.
- Broker: low spread (ECN / raw) broker
- Minimum deposit: 200 USD recommended
- Risk: 1–2% per trade is recommended. The default of 3% is aggressive
- A VPS is strongly recommended for uninterrupted trading

INSTALLATION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
1. Open one XAUUSD chart (H1)
2. Attach Gold Constellation and enable Algo Trading
3. Choose Auto lot with your risk %, or a fixed lot
4. Keep all three strategies on, or switch off the ones you do not want
5. Run it on a VPS

BACKTESTING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- Use "Every tick based on real ticks" for reliable results
- Test with your own broker's data — spread, commission and gold price history differ between brokers
- The built-in pause calendar also applies in the Strategy Tester, so no trades are opened on those dates in historical tests
- Always forward-test on a demo account before trading live
