Hi, Yeah defiantly! I do not provide any set files for any of those markets but do some testing/optimization and you will for sure find something that works. Just be careful to not overoptmize to much.

The first usdjpy trade was today, buy&sell at the same time. After a quick look in tester and your signals, I can't see this has happend before.
I use the settings from your screenshots, on a demo.

Is this normal, opening both directions at the same time?

Hi! no the EA should not open a buy and a sell at the same time and it has never happened for me. If the range is being created it will only trade the in the direction of the breakout. If you changed some settings on the EA inputs while the range was being created or restarted the terminal or similar the range will not be correct and it can open wrong positions. I hope you are using a demo account as it is always best to first test it out on a demo to make sure you have set it all up correctly and know how the EA is working. And can explain more in private message to you and we will solve it for you.

I've just bought the Range Breakout and I am wanting to optimise for GMT. I have uploaded the optimised setfiles but seem to remember I may need to alter for GMT? Can you give me some guidance please on recommended timings for GMT? Today's trades on USDJPY closed at the server time of 1900hrs which was 1700hrs GMT. NY closes 2100hrs GMT. Reading the description should I have set a closed trade time of 2000hrs?

Additionally, I am considering the trailing stop loss. Any recommendations for a decent set-up there?

Yes, you’re correct — the EA is optimised for GMT+2, so if your broker/server runs on GMT, you’ll need to shift all time inputs 2 hours earlier to match the same trading sessions.

For example:

• If the EA uses CloseTradesTime = 21:00 (GMT+2) → set 19:00 (GMT) instead.
• Just subtract 2 hours from every time input (range start, end, and trade close).

That will align your trades properly with the intended market timings, including the New York close.

Regarding the trailing stop, I actually don’t recommend using it on these markets — I’ve tested it quite a lot and never found stable or consistent results. It can sometimes work better on other markets, but feel free to test it out yourself and see what you think.
