the CCI entry is independent from the MA (Moving Average) entry in your described strategy.
There are two distinct entry strategies:
SMA-Based Entry: One strategy uses simple moving averages (SMAs) and their shifts to determine entry points. This is a classic trend-following approach, where entries are triggered based on the relationship between price and the moving averages, such as crossovers or shifts in the SMA lines.
CCI-Based Entry: The other strategy uses two Commodity Channel Index (CCI) indicators on each timeframe. In this setup, a simple moving average (SMA) is applied to the CCI itself, which helps to smooth the CCI signals and potentially filter out noise. The entry is triggered based on the behavior of these CCI indicators, such as crossing certain thresholds (like the zero line or ±100 levels), with confirmation from both CCIs before entering a trade.
These two entry methods operate independently:
The SMA entry does not require confirmation from the CCI.
The CCI entry does not require confirmation from the SMA.
This allows for flexibility in your trading system, where you can choose to enter trades based on either the moving average signals or the CCI signals, depending on which strategy's conditions are met first. In some advanced strategies, traders may combine both for additional confirmation, but in your described setup, each entry method stands alone.
Summary Table
Entry Method Indicators Used Entry Trigger Example Independent?
SMA Entry SMAs and their shifts Price crossing above/below SMA Yes
CCI Entry Two CCIs + SMA on CCI Both CCIs cross threshold (e.g., zero) Yes
This separation lets you test, optimize, or combine the strategies as you see fit, but by default, each is an independent entry system.

I have a High-Frequency Trading (HFT) Expert Advisor for both MT4 and MT5 designed primarily for US30 (Dow Jones Index) . The EA performs consistently and profitably on demo accounts, but when I run it on an IC Markets Raw or Standard live account, it starts generating losses under what appear to be the same trading conditions. At this time, I cannot provide the source code (.mq4/.mq5). I can only provide the
