Discussion of article "MetaTrader 5 features hedging position accounting system" - page 4

Finally ! best news of the year.

. I have tried so many alternatives, tools and nothing compared with Mt4.

I hope that, it does not require borker's changes - else, we would wait more .

Maybe it is normal on FORTS, but on Forex it causes disgust to DCs. Why deals are not closed at the take?

And then, after stop-out these trades were closed at take, despite such slippage and some trades went first to ???? I don't remember how it was labelled. And then they became marketable with a minus balance. And this is not a normal situation in the forex market.....

There's something I must not be grasping here. I don't see any overall benefit when it comes to hedging this way.
I mean, as I see it, the reason MQL5 never allowed hedging like this in the first place was because hedging a position by opening an opposite position is the same thing as simply closing the first one.

Why would a user prefer the "hedging system" to the "netting system"?

The only reason I could see for this implementation is more compatibility with brokers, somehow. Any insights here?

Most MT4 traders are highly tied to the "hedging system", that's the only reason. (Just my own opinion).

Fixed a bug in some cases of SL-TP triggering when working in Hedged mode.

The fix will be in the next build.

Thanks for the message!

I noticed with this beta build, there is new functionality in the tester; "every tick based on real ticks".

Is there a forum to discuss that?

What happens if you use cloud computing to optimise based on that method and "the cloud" doesn't either have 1) that build of MT5 or 2) the tick data that my platform had to download to run this setting - despite running the other settings prior.

Also, is there a planned release date for this beta; how long is the usual cycle from beta to wider production?

Thanks

Maybe Russian forum ?

But why not do the same thing at once, when the whole world was sent to MT5 with netting poses. They started to redesign MT4. Without all these troubles people would have long ago switched to a new platform, instead of wandering among new crutches of the old MT4. So for me personally the news is not interesting at all. 2 years ago I would have switched to such a platform MT5 in 6 seconds, I would not have broken spears with MT4. At the moment there are many copies and a small cart. I will stay in MT4 as long as at least one broker is alive. And the company claimed that brokers will be alive as long as at least one MT4 client is alive. So let's bite each other's tails and not ourselves.
