Problem resetting MQL5 password to login within MT5 (1st login made with Google login button)

Hi,
My MQL5 account was created by using the Google login button (without defining the password).
I tried to connect to my MQL5 account within MT5, but when I click on "forgot my password", I just never receive the email.
I tried several times from both MT5 and browser, I just get the confirmation page " The request to recover password has been succesfully sent", but I have never received any email.
I checked spam box, nothing.

I don't have my password, and I can not reset it.

Any hint?

Hi Theo, I had the same thing with a second account, dont go thru the forgot password page, it sends the mail to the login email of the profile and with google accounts that is not always the one you think.

Do it from inside the site instead. Log in on mql5.com with the google button like always, then go to your Profile, Settings, and in the Security tab there is the option to set a password. Put one there and you will get a code to confirm it (by the mail or the authenticator app if you have it). After that the terminal accepts it.

Also check your real login name in the profile, many times it is not the email, it is something like Theo_Cremel or a number, and in MT5 Community tab you need that login, not the gmail. That was my mistake the first time.

If the security tab still dont let you set it, open a ticket in Service Desk, they fix it in a day or two, the forum cant touch accounts.

As far as I know - It was sent to your google email (which is related to your google password for example).

I am having the exact same problem but am unable to actually receive emails even to google emails. 


It also never gave me the option to set a password.

I think there is an issue on MQL5 end in regards to emails being sent as i have tried to set up multiple accounts since and cannot retrieve any e-mails, and tried with multiple different accounts


I also have funds tied up in the account which i am unable to withdraw as i am unable to access my master password.

This keeps coming up, but no email was sent

I am having the same issue. I have tried multiple different emails and no passoword is being sent. I made sure the  noreply@mql5.com email is not going to spam.

I think there is an issue on their end, i can only suggest you raise a Request and detail it with as much information as possible regarding this issue.
