I recently purchased a VPS for my EA to test if it performs better from ping point of view. In addition I also wanted to stress test my EA in all market conditions regardless of my presence.
I did following steps :-
1. Compiled by EA on XAUUSD chart
2. Migrated it to VPS (successful message shown)
3. I read somewhere to pause live Algo trading on meta terminal on my desktop to avoid redundancy.
4. I paused live Algo trading.
5. I was glad, few trades from VPS panel started coming in (stats visible on VPS journal)
6. I turned off my PC and went outside. But to my dismay, immediatly after 5 10 minutes, no trade entries were being made (I am using micro second scalper 1-2 ticks which gives rapid trades for very small gains)
7. I had to come back home, turn on PC and when I turned on Meta trader and viewed my VPS journal, then it was giving me signals again (live trading on terminal had been paused earlier).
8. Now I confused that what is wrong
Isn't VPS supposed to give me trades like normal terminal even when my PC is off or when I am asleep at night
