Sounds like a corrupted installation and/or update. I'm not having those problems in Release Build 5430 nor Beta Build 5488.

Try rolling back to 5430. Also, there are AVX2 versus x64 versions.

Here's x64 Release Build 5430:

I just uploaded build 5430 X64 for CPU not having AVX2.

Please try it.

Don't use beta build if you don't want to be beta-tester.

Alen, to be honest, the information at https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/502088 didn't really HELP me because I DID NOT UNDERSTAND the meaning!
I guess I'm one of those people who "don't quite understand short, concise, and concise text" (?!) :]

But when you told me HERE: -->> https://www.mql5.com/ru/forum/431094#comment_58810199  something different word's (Thank you), like "CHANGE YOUR BROKER, since it's the MQ demo account that downloads BETA updates" – it took me a while to figure it out (like a giraffe on the third day)! :)

... and here's WHAT the AI-tool says about this:

Why did "changing broker" help?!
According to the documentation, Live Update checks the version when connecting to the trading server, and if the server is running a new build, the terminal "suggests/requires" an update.

  • MetaQuotes-Demo is running the latest/beta version → the terminal "sees" 5488 → prompts to apply → indicators break.
  • Another broker is running a stable build → the terminal doesn't see the "new version" → the update isn't forced → .ex5 is built and loaded correctly.

This confirms the recommendation of an experienced forum member: "Change the demo server to any other (not MetaQuotes-Demo), and the problem will go away."

... brief summary:

IF the indicator crashes with error [539] -->>:

1) roll back to the previous build version...
2) change your demo account to a DIFFERENT broker (NOT "MetaQuotes-Demo") (!)

New Mt5 version released on 19 december 2025, 5488 has a BUG; No new or modified custom indicator is attaching to chart. Try create a simple custom indicator and attach, you'll get error [539].
