Strategy testing for micro lots
Any broker which offers micro lot demo account?
I want to back test my strategy for micro lots. To do that I need a micro lot demo account.
Most brokers offer real micro lot account. But I know of none that offers a micro lot demo account.
I know I can use 0.01 of a regular account to simulate micro lot. Just that is not correct, and it gives different results.
There is a range between 1 and 2 micro lots that it is not possible to replicate with a regular account. For example, it is not possible to replicate 1.25 micro lots, or 1.50, or 1.63 etc.
Any suggestion on how I can best back test my strategy for micro lots is most welcome.
I think you're actually talking about nano (cent) lots. We have standard at 1.00, mini at 0.10, micro at 0.01, and nano (cent) at .0001.
What is so different about, for example, multiplying your intended deposit by 10 in demo and then dividing your demo trading results by 10? Maybe live trade execution priority? If so, what value would a nano demo have?
(Demo trade execution never 100% simulates live trade execution).
There is a big difference when using martingale increments.
For example, using micro lots, starting from 1 lot with increments of 1.2 over the last lot you have:

While using standard lots, starting from 0.01 lot with increments of 1.2 over the last lot you have:

Whynot start with a hefty demo deposit and then mimic your intended lot sizing with full standard lots? (The decimal structure that you outlined up top already does that). Results divided by 1000 would be nano (cent) values if I'm reading you correctly. 100 if you really mean adjusted micro.
