Happened to me too, yesterday I updated my MT5 on MacOS, and after that, the platform no longer opened. I restarted my computer, but it didn’t help. Then I downloaded MT5 again from the official website, and this time it installed a Wine-based version.
Unfortunately, this new version reset everything — all my indicators, themes, and robots are gone, including several officially purchased indicators that are essential for my trading routine. I found the old files still on my computer, but I’m unable to integrate them into this new version.
Before the update or even the new installation, there was no warning about the “new wine version” or any other warning that I would lose everything!
Has anyone figured out the solution?

If your Wine version is below 8.0.1, we strongly recommend removing the old platform along with the Wine prefix in which it is installed. You can delete the platform as usual by moving it from the "Applications" section to the bin. The Wine prefix can be deleted using Finder. Select the Go > Go to Folder menu and enter the directory name: ~/Library/Application Support/. Go to this directory and delete the following folders based on the installed MetaTrader version:
~/Library/Application Support/net.metaquotes.wine.metatrader5
~/Library/Application Support/net.metaquotes.wine.metatrader4

You can find the information by yourself (I am just using search to find some posts because I do not have Mac computer).

No, there is no solution. You have to migrate everything manually. I also had to re-install all indicators from the market, re-compile all my indicators and copy all settings. What I get at the end is a platform that is slow as turtle but with new fancy useless fonts.
