Why is my VPS banned from mql5.com without any reason? - page 3

Sergey Golubev #:

Some VPS providers were blocked from the Market but it is very rare case. And in most of the situation - the VPS prvider did it by itself.
-----------------

My example: I had error 403 with my home laptop ... why? Because my WebView2 was broken and because I had the problem with host file.
I re-installed WebView2 and edited host file - and everything is fine.

-----------------

There are a lot of the reasons of this error 403, and you should ask the service desk just to be sure that it is block from MQL5 for example.
And here are much more reasons about "community authorization failed".

=======================

1. It's definitely not an issue with WebView2. The VPS has WebView2 fully installed, and Hetzner's installation is the same, yet it works fine.

2. I contacted Vultr, and they confirmed once again that this is not an issue on their end.

3. I confirm once again that I am not using Zomro; I am using Vultr. (If that were the case, why did the issue only start yesterday for everyone at the same time? and before that, it was working without any issues )

4. ****** This is important in case you are wondering about the situation. *****

I tested this a few hours ago.

I created a new VPS and got a fresh IP that had never been used before.

  • I was able to install MT5 normally and search for brokers.
  • However, I could not access MQL5.com via a browser.
  • I kept testing for 5 hours, and everything was still working fine.
  • I tried installing MT5 again, and it installed successfully. I was also able to search for brokers as usual.

Then, I attempted to log into the MQL5 Community on MT5, and that’s when the problem occurred:

  • I couldn’t log in to the MQL5 Community.
  • After that, MT5 could no longer search for brokers.
  • I tried installing MT5 again, but this time, it failed completely, as if the system had been entirely banned.

Yes, that's fine, and I hope - you checked it by yourself too.

Because when I bought new laptop with Windows 11 so they (in the shop) told me - "Yes, WebView2 was installed ... because Microsoft Edge was installed too" ...
but they lied ... and I was lucky that I checked it ...

I see IP on your main post on the thread, and this IP is 78.140.180.54 - it is written on your screenshot about where c.mql5.com is resolved from your VPS.
The service desk will ask you same (for "where cmql5.com is resolved").

Yes, it was written on your screenshot, and it is Zomro VPS provider which was banned from the Market for illegal activity (this illegal activity was discussed on the forum, and all the forum users told to admins: "Please stop them!").

------------------

Everything worked fine **before** logging into the MQL5 Community within MT5. I was able to install MT5 and access MQL5.com without any issues.

It is impossible to install any Market products without filling (login to) Community tab of Metatrader.
Besides, Zomro VPS provider was banned from the Market.

------------------

Right now, everyone who has reported this issue to me is using an EA on the MQL5 Community

The your screenshot is not telling about the place for Community login.
Community login place is this one:

Do this one with new VPS (the service desk will ask for that:

Forum on trading, automated trading systems and testing of trading strategies

I can't access the mql5.com website from the myforexvps.com VPS server

MetaQuotes , 2021.05.07 18:06

Show the address where c.mql5.com is resolved from this computer, please:

ping c.mql5.com

or do the following command -

C:\WINDOWS\system32>tracert www.mql5.com

C:\WINDOWS\system32>tracert c.mql5.com

C:\WINDOWS\system32>tracert download.mql5.com

I stop replying to you.
I see that your VPS is subnet from Zomro.

--------------------

I am suggesting to you to contact with the service desk here - just to be sure that it was blocked by MetaQuotes/MQL5, and if yes so you will need to find the other VPS provider - if you want so ...(there are a lot of VPS providers).

From your response, I’ve lost hope in resolving this issue. Nevertheless, I am still waiting for a reply from the service desk.

You don’t have to respond to me anymore, but I’ll leave this message here:

Is blocking Zomro really solving the root cause of the issue?

Because even if you block Zomro, the offenders will just move to another VPS provider... So, will you keep blocking more providers?

If the solution truly addressed the core problem, it wouldn’t have affected me like this…

Hi there

it seems I am having a similar issue. I can neither download MT5 installer nor can I install it from a copy I still had on my old VPS. All my servers are from netcup (German provider) - I'm asked for a proxy. I realized I can also not set up new accounts in already installed MT5 installation on the old VPSs.

Below please find the info asked above - it seems more and more providers get blocked ... what is the solution for people who just want to trade? Is there a list of blacklisted providers?

Cheers
Kolja.

Issue with MQL5 access blocked.

Don't bother trying to fix it—it's a waste of time. There are two methods that might help:

  1. Try using a proxy.

  2. Change your service provider.
