My MT5 Terminal is Continuously Collapsing after installing external Volume indicator available on MQL5 Web Site.
MT's original volume indicator is useless, coming behind 40 years of this business.
When want to add external volume indicator those are available in MQL5, all are making the terminal collapse at some point. Terminal simply freezes then collapses. Don't same me usual response like update the terminal etc, I am developer my all setup is UpToDate.
You need to work on this bug.
Kind regards, E.
If it is so old and outdated, why bother? Just commission your own modern, lightweight volume indicator - hopefully, your terminal won't freeze/collapse.

Which external volume indicator? Because indicators have the ability to crash the terminal along with the strategy tester if there is some infinite loops or race conditions in the code. I would rather say it is a bug with the indicator than the application

All volume indicators can't have a coding issue. You can try yourself - add your chart any volume indicator from the MQL5 and see the result.

Thank you for your kind response. I am sorry but I am not taking this idea of coding my own volume indicator. This is a platform that any bot or indicator marketed or sold in MQL5 must operate smoothly. Moreover, it is a basic volume indicator.
Are you installing an app from G Play store or Apple app store and your phone is collapsing, no, so why MT is?
I most likely find a bug and reported to developers who should be happy.
If any, lets recommend a small but powerful suggestion:
You can add a simple MA to the default volume indicator in MT terminal in order that people don't need to track both MT and TW or any other platform at the same time.

you must be using ancient hardware; because i do not have any such issues for years now. However, the platform is constantly being updated, so sometimes even the products on marketplace are rendered broken, and have to be updated by the sellers and developers. Maybe you got those.

It means that you should technically prove that this issue is real bug (and not your bug in your system or Windows for example).
It is the technical forum so - prove what you say, and let the other users confirm it (because if it is rhe bug so all the users are having this issue).

I recently ran a volume indicator from 2006 and had no issues at all!
There are some external things that can in fact slow down the software such as tester logs and tester cache, and also historic tick data that gets stored on your pc.
