Bug in strategy tester - page 4

i recommend that you create your own thread, and post log entries of a optimisation/backtest and even an image showing the word "freeze" at top of program heading bar and cpu at 100% and memory amount used at that moment.

I Created one already. I was looking if someone already had this problem and fixed. No reply on my thread yet. :(

what is link to your thread? I want to follow it just in case that someone comes up with a fix or at least a better work around.

Hello, I want to know if anyone else is having this problem. Since last update on mt5, my bot is running into problem when backtest in real ticks...

This link :)

yeah i had already found it by going to your profile and clicking on your post, but thanks to both of you and sergey, i now have 4 of the same link (haha) I already had this and it -- in my fav links.

I encounter similar problem. My puter has 20 cores and 64G RAM and I use 4 cores to do backtesting with tick data. The memory usage increased slowly and steadily until puter crashed and restarted.

that has almost nothing to do with mt4/5. They are both memory hogs and extreme cpu stressors, however, if you cpu is stable, then, your computer would not have a problem.

If your system is overclocked, then, you need to back off your oc. If it is an intel 13k or 14k on the higher end, such as 13/14 with 800 or higher for last 3 digits of the cpu, then, do google search. These have well documented issues, including legal suites against intel, over last 6 months or longer. The only 2 fix(es) is to slow your cpu down, or get a new one, and hope that you get a more stable cpu.

Hi, im not sure im writing to the right pleace, but having chart freezing issue with the tester and search did not gave a exact matching reply to the subject. This is the closest I found.... If anybody could help or guide to the correct forum group from platform or Bybit support it´ll be appreciated.

1. Tester visualization chart freezes, but trades bar keeps running. ICM platform has no that issue. C video:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eB62a0Jm-wiVcew8c8oszpE9b0T1qh2l/view?usp=sharing

2. C attached. Kicking in "false" trades onto backtester chart. At the beginning trade numbers are from one to 100, but I see trades numbered over 1000... Cache folder emtied...

MT5 is latest downloaded from Bybit´s website.

Thank you,

Lauri.

Im adding one test with free defauöt robot. C attached.  What / why is it? Reinstall might help?

Hi, See Attached. Seems the new test does not clear the chart of the previous test or does not show new trades on the new chart. Please fix.
