Where to download MT4

Hi

I am trying to download a new installer for MT4 from https://www.metatrader4.com/en/download

But there is something wrong with the installer.
The name says MT4 but when you install it it will install MT5

Does anyone knows why the website even f the button says MT4 will give you MT5 installer?
And where to download MT4?

It has been years since you could download MT4 from Metaquotes. You can only get it from a broker's website.

Well then MetaQuote should not MAKE a download button on there site  Download MetaTrader 4 for Windows And just state that it can only be obtained from a broker.....
would make things more clear and transparent

Nothing on the official website states anything about "only downloadable via your broker".....

MT4 download - Wrong version

The support for MT4 was stopped long time ago. It means the following:

• it will not be any key improvement of MT4; it will be just error fixing only;
  
• we can not download and install MT4 from this mql5 portal; we need to go to the brokers' websites to download and install MT4 (because the brokers are still supporting MT4).

So, we can download and install MT4 from the brokers' websites only (because the brokers are continuing to support MT4).
Seems, you did not visit this forum for many years (because it is very old information about MT4 downloading).

Thanks for the answer and yes its been a while and many other things happened that made me forgot this
nevertheless like I stated before MetaQuote should not MAKE a download button on there site and calling it Download MT4.....
Just remove the freaking button if it is not available for public through the official website

Does not take that musch of a time right?
