I am using MT5. I am subscribed to a signal provider and am using an MQL5 VPS. I am trying to close trades manually but they keep opening at the current (worse) price. I have disabled Algo trading at the top, I have unchecked; Allow Algorithmic Trading, Agree to the terms of use of the signal service, and Enable realtime subscription. I then synched with the server and attempted to close all trades. They reopened. Next I stopped the server and tried to close them all again. The keep reopening. I have a hedge on so I'm not losing any more, but I need to be able to close trades when necessary. Please help or point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
- OPEN TRADE AT OPEN OF NEXT BAR FROM SIGNAL. Close trade on opposite signal.
- Help answer: Once I close a trade, it's re opening
- How do I disable autotrade when using VPN?
Got it. The only way to do it is to Suspend the signal in MQL5 settings.

Yes, the only way to close trades and not re-open is to disable, suspend or cancel your signal subscription.
In your case you had probably migrated to MQL5 VPS, so when you disabled your signal subscription in your local terminal, the trades were still being opened from the MQL5 VPS.
