Points VS Pips - page 165

Ivan Butko:
Conservatives are stumped on points, no logic for alienating pips.

Nothing prevents them from making the term "pips" stable in a specific sense - five digits. And it's clear to everyone, and convenient for everyone.

Logic and terminological development suggests that it is time to use these two terms thoroughly.

and when there are six figures - will a pips equal a six figure?)

doesn't it seem illogical to you that a metre would be equal to a millimetre?
Or is that your particular "logic and terminological development"?

Taras Slobodyanik:

don't you think it's illogical that a metre will equal a millimetre?

No one is talking about equality.

1 pip equals 10 pips.

And in the future 1 pip will equal 10 pips)))

Aleksandr Yakovlev:

did you check with your broker? (or any other).

I am a Russian person. I do not care about your English-speaking people.

I communicate on the Russian forum. I trade on a Russian MT4 or 5.

About your English you do not say a word to me.

Aleksandr Yakovlev:

I am a Russian person. I don't care about your English.

And I communicate on the Russian forum. And I trade on Russian MT; or 5.

You do not say a word to me about your English.

Why do you, "Russian person", use English words and terms?

forum, forex, pips...

Aleksandr Yakovlev:

And I am communicating on the Russian forum. And I trade on Russian MT4 or 5.

You do not say a word to me about the English language.

Do you trade on roubles at a Russian broker?

Taras Slobodyanik:

why do you "Russian man" use English words-terms?

forum, forex, pips...

The word forum comes from ancient Rome

Aleksandr Yakovlev:

The word forum in general is from ancient Rome

The question is not about where the word comes from, but about the correct use of international terms and words.

So that it is not like on the previous page, where a man writes that he is again told by English-speakers "wrong")

Taras Slobodyanik:

It's not a question of where the word comes from, it's a question of using the international terms-words correctly.

So that it is not like the previous page, where a man writes that he is again told by English-speakers "wrong")

So I do not understand. Who should dictate the rules.

The fuck (excuse the language) I have to be told how to communicate.

I'm here, and I'm gonna talk the way I want to talk.

And I don't give a damn about what they're clucking about over there.

TheXpert:
It is stable ) in its concrete and original meaning - 4-digit, but there is a crowd of stubborn rams - victims of the USE and Russian-speaking copywriters who for some reason consider pips a 5-digit and points a 4-digit

And let's find out who the sheep are.
And the victims of the EGE, cannot think for themselves and are subject to the influence of the holdouts.

A logical-philological problem:

Petya on forexfoy, Kolya on tikmil. Petya has 4 decimal places, Kolya has 5. Both Peter and Kolya have $100 in a dollar account.

Petya says he earned 100 points. Kolya says he has also earned 100 points.

Kolya has another comma missing before the fifth decimal place. The number is no longer divided by any additional 'tenths'.

Question:

Why did Kolya earn 10 times less money if they both used the generally accepted and unanimous term "point"?

Reason:
