DmitriyN:
The truth will come. At the expense of what will they manage to leak? A breach of MM?

to a hypothetical truth? Who the hell needs it?

Yes, they're going to leak because they're stingy, drowning in their own emotion.

DmitriyN:

what would it lead to?

What if all traders could see quotes from the future a day ahead?

What would that future look like and what would trading lead to?

it will look completely different from the very first candle. Even if one knows, the more he trades, the faster the real quotes will diverge from those he has peeked into the future. But if he will look into the future again after each market impact (buy/sell), there will be a much better result. In other words, big players have to consider their market impact - how others will react to it. Given this, the task of manipulation inevitably comes into play. If he does not want to do that, then he needs to reduce the traded hand, or move to longer trading horizons. Almost poker)))

who says that future day-ahead quotes do not take into account the fact that all traders already know about them?

To communism.

That's it, so am I. I don't know shit about tomorrow's quotes. Do you? So not all traders know :) So the price takes into account the ignorance or assumptions of some about future quotes, most of which will never come true.

That's pretty much how our world works.

Let's not deviate from Lizavetta's fantasy, which is that all traders are in tuned time machines and all know tomorrow's quotes :)

Henry Kuttner, Catherine L. Moore

See you soon!

Old Yancey is perhaps the meanest little man in all the world. The world has never seen a more insolent, hardened, stupid, twisted, vile scoundrel. What happened to him reminded me of a phrase I once heard from another young man-a long time ago. I don't know his name, I think it was Louis, maybe it was Tamerlane, but he once said that the whole world should have only one head, and that it would be easy to take it off his shoulders.

Yancy's trouble is that he's gone to his knees: he thinks the whole world has turned against him, and by golly, if he's wrong....

Everyone can't know tomorrow's quotes.

Suppose traders arrive one by one. Each trader's knowledge changes the future. And, each next trader sees different quotes.

Let them, together with the market makers, gather at the same time to see the quotes. Naturally, they will make plans. They will sit and watch the quotes being rewritten. And, it will be that way until the majority decide to sit on the fence. Now they know, so what?

It's like the problem of showering in a bathhouse. There is one pipe each for cold and hot water. The flow of hot or cold water is limited. In the first case, those who can bathe in enough cold water will remain. In the second case, in hot enough water. The rest will piss off.
