Got a business idea, a trading room, what do you think? - page 2

It wouldn't be cost-effective. Driving to the centre to look at a monitor with a terminal?

That's absurd. Better open a computer club there, if you really want to put computers in the room. And, among other things, offer the services of a trader's lounge in this CC.

It is definitely better to set up a betting shop. You have to do the paperwork, find a roof. There's a good chance that the competitors aren't into it, and it's easy to lure gamblers to the new field (there's not much choice). Everything will be legal and no worse than the old slot machines. A trading room by itself does not give anything. Yes, it will be a fun hangout, but you won't squeeze any money out of it.

Not enough input data.

- What is the size and height of the room?
- What is the sanitary condition and finish of the room?
- what are the dimensions of the building (number of storeys, number of flats, approximate floor area)?
- how much money are you willing to invest?
- what are the communications (water, electricity, heating, gas, internet, sewerage, telephone)?
- what are the categories (fire, moisture) of the premises?
- what is on the 1st floor of the building (shops or accommodation)?
- are you the owner or the tenant?
- what are the buildings next to this building?
- what is the flow of people along the pavement near (up to 50m) the premises (people/day)?
- is there a separate entrance to the premises or through the driveway?
- access for vehicles, availability of parking.

If you can take a picture, please do so.

Ahem. Yes. Not enough input data for sure. And the author of the topic does not want to make a strip bar ? on the walls on monitors running quotes, in the corner rocking jocks and to cheerful music undressing girls.

... and if there's room in the corner, you can put in a warehouse - groceries or household goods - to decide on the spot (or if you have a tenant)

A trader dreams of making lots and lots of money. Alone. By himself. For himself. A "cashless" trader would prefer to throw free money into an account, but no way to spend it on a hangout. If a trader with money, I assume...

- The main thing is not a specific (not strictly trader's) hall, so that "colleagues" do not interfere (as well as the annoying wife, the dopey husband, and the children, who have not found them),

- staff have at hand: pens of different types, pencils (different types), notebooks of 5-10 samples, bouncers, notebooks, ai... etc., that a trader wandering around might need,

- three walls "over the head" (in sitting position - booth),

- cabins have different or optional seating (for example, I prefer a wicker chair),

- local ventilation,

- accurate clock,

- a dimmable, unobtrusive "night light",

- buttons to order: "tea", "coffee", "cigarettes", "set lunch", "select menu", "call the manager", etc. + non-speaking feedback (specify how the chicken is cooked, for example),

- obligatory button: "disturb",

- unobtrusive electronic notification: "they want to talk to you" - address in the hall,

- tables in the common room for socialising over a friendly dinner,

- clear, silent staff - all conversations take place when the trader is outside the cubicle (his comfortable desk) or at his request,

- no "signposting" about trading.

I would go to such a comfort booth every night, for the americans.

//===

I would add: the passage to the booths and vice versa to the exit, not through the common hall. If a trader wants it, he may go "out into the crowd".

And now for the most important thing . How much are you willing to pay for all this entourage?

I will speak out. Why would a trader need this? It's not like we're living in '95. A good laptop with Internet + smartphone, so that you don't even have to stare at your laptop too often - that's all you need for comfortable work. I can't think of anything more individual. Need an adviser 24*7*365 - you can put it on the UPU. I can't think of a single "FOR" for me to sit in the basement of an apartment building, in an individual partition.

ZS: add a sauna, it goes better with the gym and billiards.

Yes, it's no problem to set up a trader's space at home. But no time or technical support can replace live communication with colleagues, a business atmosphere.

Of course it all depends on the individual, for example I cannot do serious things productively at home.

An interview and a walk around the office with someone who makes money in the stock market
