The 500pp stop option is a variation of trading without stops - what is the first lot?
If with a 500pp stop the target is 10-50pp, then you are right. And if the target is 1000-3000pp, then the logic will come out. And there are microlots and cent accounts to stop at 500 points so that the deposit is not too large. Trading may be considered as a hobby if you have a deposit less than $50-100k because you cannot cover your living expenses with trading even with 10-20k.

It's not that simple...

Shall we begin, shall we?

Acknowledged. You may not. Expenses are increasing faster than the income. Terrible.

I agree. I do not argue. But there is a stable trade starting from 10K and growing up to 150K dollars, and the average income is more than 100% a year (this is a PAMM account), actually there is nowhere else to look. More than sure there is a non-public trade with even better results. And the stop triggered at 500pp. - The result is the same, even if the account is micro, even if it is 100 thousand, the percentage of loss (potential) will greatly affect the initial lot. That is, trading with such stops is a hobby. Besides, I think the term of such a deal is from six months and more, what if the loss is minus, for example, 3 months.

paukas:
Affirmative. You won't. Expenses are increasing faster than revenues. That's terrible.
You calculate how much you need per month and put the money in the bank, and only withdraw your salary!

You seem to be having trouble with maths. Let's do the math together:

Let's assume a deposit of $10,000. With a 0.1 lot and a 500pp stop, the loss will be about $500 (depending on the currency pair). That is 5%. Is it a lot? Do you need 2%? Set the lot at 0.04 and that's it.

No money for a $10,000 deposit? Put $100 into a cent account and trade like on a $10,000 deposit.

Wrong? Correct it.

Are you confused by the term? So it takes TIME for profits to grow. After all, the huge floating losses that stoically sit tight don't build up in one day and hour either.

Do you need fast and big profits? That is one of the reasons for the losses.
