Professionals trade manually, not with EAs! - page 6

Gentlemen programmers, you can be respected for the fact that you can do things that we dummies are too lazy to understand (we have you for that), but with all the variety of EAs, well none of you have risen! It's like: I'll sell you a treasure map. As long as you are in control of the situation - you can control it! There is no other way!

But with all the variety of advisers out there, well none of you have stepped up!

Holy naivety :)

Only three things are needed for profitable trading:

- A profitable trading system

- Risk management

- Following the rules (psychological factor)

The first two components can be programmed (unless of course it is a palmistry based on wave theory, Gan lines or fibo levels (although one successful trader uses fibo + robot (much respect to him)), the third component is supplied with the robot by default.

I think that TS should be simple in its essence. Simpler is better. Again and again I get convinced that complex systems are generally not effective. I admit that the robot trades worse than a human, but if even just following a system (and the robot cannot trade otherwise) leads to losses, should I use this system? In other words, robots fail not because they are robots, but because their creators have provided them with an inefficient system. Tactics need to be so effective that even just following them can generate the nicest possible profit in your account. And that's where all the intellect of a trader-matcher goes into developing the systems. And I can tell you, there is hardly less intellectual effort involved than in manual trading. Who says that trading using MTS is just clicking the button "Allow the EA to trade"?

For example take a look at PAMM forum. Not all traders who take up this difficult matter are successful, but there are a lot of positive results. Pay attention to the tactics of such PAMM managers, as a rule, this is a person with a simple system, he uses statistics and mathematics and trusts robots with his trade. And what do beginners use, most of which cannot grow up to their PAMM accounts and even do not survive the first six months? They use books by psychologist Elder and Eric Naiman (I have nothing against them, but it's a fact). Conclusions you draw.

Manual trade is also a good thing, I think a professional trader should be able to trade with his hands too. But here is an amusing fact that happened to me not so long ago I wanted to test one system manually, with pen and piece of paper. I turned the chart back and started to follow it, as if I didn't know what was behind the right border of the monitor. After a while I found myself thinking that some entry points, indicated by the system, just skipped, citing "lack of situational clarity", but in fact I just knew what price is on the right and unconsciously did not want to enter the trade, which would have brought losses.

If the system works when the trader trades manually, it will also work on automatic. As for PAMMs, I watched them at Alpari and my personal opinion is that people are playing casino games and cannot get enough of them. I think that they are playing casino games and they cannot afford to play. Exponential profit growth in the market is best forgotten, accordingly.

Про экспоненциальный рост прибыли на рынке лучше забыть, соответственно.

You haven't looked hard enough. There is one fellow there who has shown profitability of over 10,000% in three months. By the way, he had a trading robot.

What's next not to trade?

He's trading. Just under a different screen name. He has no one to hide from, though. He has multiplied investor money dozens of times over.

Well, tell us who this master is, under what nickname he hides there and most importantly for what purpose. It would be interesting to know about it.
