The future of automated trading - page 14

Apparently, there is a clear substitution of meaning (without pointing out that in different cases different positions), leading to incorrect calculations, people do not want to engage in calculations (because the tables of positions are not clearly written exactly in the form of tables), at the expense of which the topic lives?

As soon as the positions are tabulated, the proof will immediately fall apart because of clearly visible errors.

за счет чего тема живет?

The question is spot on. Where is the discussion on the future of autotrading?

The discussion on the future of autotrading has stalled, the discussion on the future of MT has slipped into bananas. I'll try to reword the future at the weekend in a new thread. You may continue to praise/crie MQL here - it has nothing to do with the future of autotrading.

I suggest to create a new branch called "The future of manual trading in the light of the release of the most powerful trading platform for automated trading MT5". :o) The resonance will be different.

Better create a thread "The future of manual trading in light of the release of the most powerful autotrading platform MT5". :o) The resonance will be different.
Try to take a broader view of the world... MT5 isn't out yet, and the stock market already has 70% of its trades done by robots. i.e. somehow they're getting by without MT.

MT4 is quite a working system, and there are others too.
We are not talking about the emergence of autotrading, but about its development.
And MT5 is more complex than MT4.

For autotrading? Do you personally have any experience of autotrading with large sums on MT4? Do you? No? I'm pretty sure I don't. Not even close. Otherwise there would be no such imprudent statements. And it remains to be seen whether the developers will manage to bring MT5 to a normal level of reliability. I wish they could, so far I believe they will.

(I am not saying that MT4 is unsuitable for autotrading, but a number of significant limitations and conditions that must be met to do so, do not give this product the right to be called "ready for autotrading" or "quite a working system")

mrProF:
Well, if you disagree with my opinion, give me the official figures.

How many DCs have I reviewed (not just Russian ones), most of them were mt4.

Also, here is a quote from https://www.metaquotes.net/ru/metatrader4:

"The MetaTrader 4 trading terminal is the epitome of the all-in-one concept. And furthermore, it is the most popular trading terminal in the world."

Any questions?

Bingo. There's a figure here of 350 brokers, let's say 1,000. And here is a list of MICEX participants (brokers) http://www.micex.ru/markets/stock/members/list

How many members of this list do not try to count of MT? And this is Russia where many know about MT (at least heard). And there are many exchanges in the world .... and they have been working for a long time ... And the software has been in use for a long time ...

E.U. The Internet is a great fence and you should not absolutely trust what the owner of the fence says on his fence and that applies to any site. Trust, but verify.

Can you give at least one example (EVERY ONE) of real use of MT4 for trading on exchange? Not forex casino, not CFDs on whatever, but stock trading.

+5

autotrading is about reliability, speed and accuracy of commands ... If there is a middleman between buyer and seller, then even theoretically this business model loses to a model where there is no middleman, where the transaction is made directly (the broker takes only a commission). There are companies that claim to execute commands in 1 millisecond and give an unfiltered stream of quotes.

The unfiltered stream is a nightmare - a nightmare for those who do not know and do not understand how to process it. We should use filters for brokerage companies, because they have bought a platform, but do not know how to filter. And the assertion to do robust systems (on candlesticks, say, hourly) - which means that the algorithm gives a command once per hour, and you don't need a platform for that either, you can do everything over the phone. Come down from the mountains 3-4 times a year, make a phone call, and back up to the mountains ...
