Trading is diverse. One trader trades completely different to another trader, but both of them can win. People see the market differently, and people also take different opportunities.

You have different ways of analyzing the market with trend following, momentum, volume, candlestick patterns, and volatility. Aside from technical analysis, markets are driven by economic data releases and news events. This is known as fundamental analysis. 

Start to study what is known as the economic calendar, and high impact data releases. For technical analysis, start with studying what supply and demand means, and study an indicator such as RSI or bollinger bands.
