I just download MQL5 and it is my first time using please assist on how does it work because I am used trade using my phone with MT4 and XM broker.

Use desktop Metatrader (at least - to start trading/learning for example).

Find Metatrader broker (there are a lot of Metatrader brokers, use google to find), and open the account according to their condition on their websites.
Try with demo first.
