Approaching an event like the Brexit, which is a major change for the markets, no matter you're training it on 1 year or 10 years today, there will be a pre & a post, only best will survive. 

Then, on MT5, brokers' data are used, often the broker improving their package's spec 2-5-7 years ago - so 10 years isn't useful.

But globally, I think that from  2(3++)  to 7 years is more than satisfying to pre-judge of the stability.
