I digged into forex 5 years ago, and since 2 years, I am the administrator of the website <Link Removed> website based on new mathematics, theory and so on..
We seem to be on a similar schedule, although on different paths. I first traded forex live in '09, and created my site 2+ years ago to help noncoders code their own EA's.
In my own recent trading, I'm more concerned with mid term trading, hefty Range Bars, overnight hedging, etc. This is why I would prefer a 144 tick interval over a 5 ticks interval. IMHO, the OP's greeting addressed only to "short term scalpers" is a bit narrow.
