TbT,

- What is the max leverage you suggest on USD 1000 equity?

- I have an IBFX mini account. Mini account trade contracts 1/10th the size of standard accounts, with 1 contract equal to 10,000 units. Do I can use your signal with 0.1 mini lot? It equals 0.01 standard lot.

Do you have experience with FXCM UK? Do they fulfill the requirements of your strategy?

Thx, sliffy

Why no STP broker support

tradebabytrade:
Hi Sliffy,

"iamFX" is a STP broker(Straight Through Processing) ...which does not accept initial StopLoss, and TakeProfit.

RAS BUYER has a setting which will make STP Broker to accept SL/TP, but i dont believe it. If you want try ...it's up to you, but, be sure you got a backup plan, like ...other Broker(serious broker ...a DD(Dealing Desk Broker) one) ...IBFX,ALPARI UK,FIBO,FXDD, ex.

I personally dont believe in STP/ECN Broker which try to tell you ..."We don't charge any compensation by increasing the spread (Bid/Ask difference) like other brokers, we get compensation only on side commission". I believe in a Broker which will take a REAL spread(2,3,4 or 5pip), but ...wont interfere in my trading strategy. Remember ....i dont scalp... the FX market.

TbT

A setting in the RAS ea makes it open the position with NO sl/tp and then immediately modifies the position to add sl/tp. It is possible, of course, for each broker to have restrictions on how close that sl/tp can be to the opening price but being STP doesn't automatically make it a problem. I use the RAS ea with signals on an STP broker, WITH initial sl/tp and it works fine, but haven't verified it with close sl/tp

What makes it initrinsically incompatible with an STP broker? Is it the very variable spreads (e.g. EUR/USD spread bouncing from 0.1-0.8 pips) rather than a market maker who tends to maintain a (more or less) constant spread, or something else?

Fifo

Hello,

I have an FXDD account. It will be moved over to Malta on 12th March and after that it won't be affected by FIFO rule.

Do I can use your signal before transferring? FXDD said this about FIFO:

"So, your MetaTrader, which is recording tool will display two separate orders for the same currency pair, but our Backoffice will treat them as one, since they are within same currency pair and display it as one, with a weighted average price. How do you calculate a weighted average? Lot size x rate + Lot size x rate, etc. add all of these up and divide it by the total lot size.

Example: 0.1 @ 1.1450, 1.3 @ 1.5050 and 3.2 @ 1.3940.

So, (0.1 x 1.1450 + 1.3 x 1.5050 + 3.2 x 1.3940) / (0.1 + 1.3 + 3.2) = 1.419956522

Because we treat it as a weighted average, you can still close any position in any order on MetaTrader side, but it will be settled against weighted average in the Backoffice. As a result, this change should not affect your trading style and should not affect your EA if you use one."

If you read through this topic you will find that he has uploaded his results to mt4i.com.

You can do all the analysis you want with mt4i.com.

It looks good but it is again the typical system that works with a small T/P (20pips) but with a HUGE s/l (400pips).

Where do i get teh EA and how do i install this

Hi Rocketman,

i have today subscribed for your rent a signal service and now wonder where i will get the EA from and how i will activiate this on my demo account first and once comfortable with it on my real money account?

Additional Question: Will my 50 USD subscription stay on 50 or will i have to pay also the new amount form april onwards?

Best regards

Mike

400 sl woud be a huge loss to take.

You may not agree but I feel better with a feed that uses none. At least then the broker does not know your weak spot. IMO

Dear ut2DaMAX,

If you say something like this that means that you believe that a broker is hunting YOUR stop.

1) I don't want to know but if I would ask you how big your lot size is then I'm am quite sure that it is not 10, 20 or 30 full lots because you would not make this remarke.

If you trade smaller lots why would a broker hunt your stop on a few mini lots or even lots and you make a problem out of this and somebody that trades 30 full lots does not make a problem out this because he saw that the compleet FX market went to that point.

One broker can indeed go a pip higher then the other one but that is absolutly normall because each broker has its own network.

2) The market is made through buyers and sellers. Each have their stops and profits. There are litarly thousands and thousands of people who trade from 1 min. TF and then again from 5min TF and then again from a 15min TF and then again from 30min TF and then again from 60min TF and 4H and daily and each trade their own system and with their own S/L and T/P. And each TF has his trend up or down.

And on each TF you have people who want to go short and want to go long. That is what price makes to go up or wants to go down.

That means that you have hundreds of thousands orders waiting on the long side and you have hundreds of thousands orders waiting on the short side.

Do you really think that a broker can go a certain direction against the real market just to take out your S/L ??...come on...stay a little bit serious and professional. I see that you are here on this forum since 2006. You must be smarter then that.

You just need to understand where your stoploss is triggered on a short ( that is through a buy) on a 5 min TF that is for all the same a point where somebody wants to go long a 60min TF (also trough a buy). So if the broker kicks you out on a short he lets somebody else in on a long. Does he know in advance where price is going to move to the next few days ?...NO.

So for all the same you made a small loss and the other person on the 60min TF is going to make a HUGE profit. For all the same you could have end up with a small profit because of the small T/P on the 5min. TF and the guy on the 60min could have made a serious loss because the big S/L on the high T/F.

So hunting for S/L is an urban legend because where you are kicked out people come in the other direction and the broker does not have any clue where market is going to move to.

Friendly regards....iGoR

If you use $1000 equity, on IBFX Micro(which is ..a NANO account), if you want the same RiskRatio from my RAS Signal, i believe you should use 10. as buyer_lots_mutiplier value, but please ...test ..on a DEMO first
