I stopped 1.7.3 because I did not find good settings. You know that this EA may be very profitable but it is related to the settings of this EA and correct selected pairs to trade. So ... once I find good settings for 1.7.3 so I will continue.
I went through this thread and have started testing on a demo account. Could use a little clarification:
New Digital have you stopped forward testing 1.7.3. I usually like Mr. Tools modifications, but you seem to have abandoned that in favor of 1.59
Mr.Tools on 1.7.3 are you using the crb indicator posted on permalink 264or are you usiing one of the other versions, i.e. "crb new," etc.
Also, where does the discussion re news filter end up. Necessary or not?

Version 173 is using the older version of cfb, of the news filter unfortunately still a work in progress for whatever reason unknown to me haven't been able to get the Ea to recognize the news, but if you use it to trade the Asian session only, then news filter not necessary IMO. But to trade it all sessions think a good working news filter would be a necessity.
