TickScalper EA - page 18

OK, works for me!

Newdigital, I saw your attempts to spread out risk by running this EA against a groups of 7 pairs. To start out, would simultaneously trading just EURUSD and USDCHF be sufficient? Since these pairs are negatively correlated, when one pair is having problems, the other is doing well. They would tend to hedge each other through bad times.

May be ...

max lot size for USDCHF was 0.08 with max floating drawdown as about 270 dollars - you can see (max distance in dollars between yellow and blue lines):

So, USDCHF is not dangerous to trade.

Same figures for EURUSD - you can see from my previous image - max lot size was 0.08 with max floating drawdown about 100 dollars.

But, anyway - initial lot size should be better to have more then 1,000. Because I am trading this "all pairs version" since 10 of February. I mean - it can be biger DD and bigger lot size ... who knows ...

Most dangerous pairs concerning max lot size is GBPUSD and EURGBP.

Timing Parameters

Hi New Digital

Could you please explain the timing parameters in TickScalper?

Do I need to adjust the default settings to my broker's server time?

Are these settings in GMT?

Thanks

Spy

I forward tested this EA and want to say about 3 kinds of the settings.

Template #1.

This template is for 0.1 lot size, MAs confirmation parameters with H4 timeframe.

Explanation about installation is inside readme text file (attached).

It is risky template: trading on M1 timeframe using 0.1 lot size with stop loss for H4 MAs. Stop loss value may be big in this case.

Timing parameters?

It is timefilter as I see from the code ...

Start to trade and so on ...

Yes, it is better to adjust it to your broker's time.

y the way - I did not change it for GMT +1 and GMT +2 brokers.

My broker is +2 GMT. What should my settings be?

Is "Main Timeframe" setting the GMT offset?

Thanks

Main timeframe is same: -1.

You can only set StartHour and so on.

For example:

StartHour is 6 for GMT +1, and should be 7 for GMT +2.

Same with EndHour and so on.

Would you say that the preferred broker type is an ECN rather than a fixed spread broker for TickScalper?

Also are the default trading times in TickScalper GMT or GMT+1?

It can be any broker.

For ECN - change ECNMode to 1.

By the way - if you are using non-ECN broker with ECNMode = 1 so it is no problem as well.

default is GMT +1.
