Using monthly charts for trading means that it will repaint 8 months - I would not like to be in a situation where I am waiting almost a year to see how it repaints the "signal" that was a reason to enter a position 8 months ago and now, all of a sudden, there is no signal any more

SuteFrom your words one would think that it is 1930 ...
It is a -2% change in a week - that is almost to the point a normal average weekly range for the last 6 years - a change in October was almost -10% and after that it went straight up to historical heights.
Take a look what is going on with SP500 from the beginning of 2009 (after the start of FED QE in November 2008) and compare it to what was done in October 2014 by FED members and all with be clear what is going on with SP500 and what will happen in some foreseeable time
