Thank you...

I would like to thank all the coders and developers of new indicators and the reverse-engineering of old tried and tested indicators, for their unselfish contribution to this Forum and my personal success today. Without you, I could not have been where I am now and I am deeply indebted to you all.

Without prejudice and in no particular order, I am personally grateful to:

NewDigital for the outstanding work he is doing here and his assistance; and then those of you who helped me develop my method of trading, i.e. CJA a brother in Christ; Elihayun; iGor; Igorad; Kalenzo; Kerris2112; Linuxser; Mladen; ShadowWiz; Yannis Sferopoulus and last but most certainly NOT least, my friend Gerhard (a ka DayTrader) without whom my progress would have been painfully slow.

I copy here a Daily Devotionalthat I receive every morning from Os Hillman with a request that you gentlemen in particular read it and pay attention to it.

May the Lord's Blessings be with you all this Christmas and His Favour during 2009.

The Power of Serving Others

TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1 by Os Hillman

Tuesday, December 16 2008.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:9-11).

There is a Kingdom principle I find few really understand. The principle is this: When you focus on serving others, your need is often met through God's supernatural law of serving.

I've seen this happen so many times. The law of sowing and reaping comes into play in this Kingdom principle. "Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love." (Hos 10:12). "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." (2 Cor 9:6-9)

Whenever God calls me to serve another person with my time and resources, I notice how God measures resources back to me from unrelated sources.Sometimes it comes through an unexpected donation to our ministry or a speaking engagement or a new opportunity. It is uncanny how this happens consistently when I serve others. We are never to view people or organizations as competition. The Bible says that God has already assigned our portion. We need not have to manipulate outcomes.

"LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance" (Ps 16:5-6).

We don't serve others to get. However, when you do serve others, there is a Kingdom principle that works on your behalf as fruit of your service. Is there someone you need to serve today?

This is a great thread. Thank you for creating it!

And many thanks indeed to all who have contributed to the great work that has been posted in this forum. Especially much thanks to all the great coders who have posted their indicators or their tips (even entire coding courses!), which are tremendously useful.

I would also like to add to ValeoFX's list in particular the names of FXB (whose work I've been enjoying a lot), and codersguru (whose very useful course I'm still struggling to work my way through).

All this work has been of immense help to clean up and optimize the traditional indicators I use, and to discover some powerful new ones, and overall to make MT work really well and reliably.

The ongoing discussions about trading ideas and methods are also a continuous source of inspiration, making me consider and evaluate my own strategies, until they can't get any better.

While I've been going back and forth between real trading and demo trading, I have recently made some important breakthroughs that should give me the results I'm looking for, and which should be quite spectacular (I want trading to be fun!), but which I will refrain from bragging about here, for the moment (but to get an idea: think of making an average of 50 to 150 pips every day, on 1m chart... with max stop margin of +/- 30 pips. It's fast and furious, that's for sure!).

Good pips to ya all, and a very good year 2009, being guided by the light in these turbulent times.
