Hi Guys,

I assume you are all pro's here, so I will save you the sup/res speach.

Suffice to say that knowing sup/res is cardinal for success in the forex, thus when a major break occurs its going sky high etc.

I found that a break of the 1hr sup/res is a very good indication of a break.

The attached indicators are a select best from the public forum, and it is a very good approach.

Today I am more inclined to have a dynamic cluster of several sup/res points to expect a break, so I am thinking of joining several support indicators in alignement to create a powerful one in all.

My question is :

what do you guys consider to be the best sup/res indicator - and what time frames do you think is the best for breakouts ( I am looking for info which is not on the public forum).

New Digital has a great thread on this here:

May Be Old News

This could be old news, but since this thread's just getting started, it's interesting that I recently ran across an ad for NexGen - which seemed to be based on the same theory of using multiple Fib lines.

I emailed for a 10-day demo of the program, but they had to have a salesman call you at home. I told them that it wasn't worth the hassle. Then I learned that it cost $14,500! (That's no typo)

So thanks, fx-programmer!

I know the 3 indicators you posted have to be worth $5,000, minimum...

Dear fx-programmer,

I find triangle break outs the best. And you can find triangles in every time frame, and very often. I have a document on triangel formations somewhere in my collection. I'll look for it. Mean while just look for converging support and resistance. They are everywhere. hope this helps.

Hey Hedger,

Can you elaborate on triangle breakouts? and indicators?

Tnx

Hi fx-programmer,

I suggest looking at Demark trend lines indicator here:

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/general

It detects triangles and shows possible targets as well. Very good indicator, but Demark's theory is not easy and needs to be studied before using this indicator. I belive there is a thread here about his method.

Also, there is a manual algo of early triangle detection, may be it's possible to make an indicator of it:

CodersGuru has this exact indicator. He has a new web site coming online soon (http://www.xpworx.com) where he will be selling his great work. I believe he said that this one would be $50 in .ex4 format.
