FXcast statement to Expert Advisor problems

Dear Forum,

we find it interesting and surprising what conclusions are drawn from the simple fact that we had some problems to enable the EA option with the account of this user. Indeed it was a technical reason that it did not work - not more and not less. All Brokerage platforms are software at the end of the day and sometimes strange things happen with accounts. It was sometimes even necessary to use a complete new account to do the correction.

About 25% of our customers use EAs - we can see this because at account opening time the customer marks this option. The user mudarin this forum did not lose any cent because his EA did not work. He opened a position before the EA problem was solved. The fact that the EA did not work is not the reason for losing money. We have told him to try to enable the EA after we made corrections to his account. Now it works and he may report how it works. He could have waited until his open trade would have been in profit before he closed it to enable the EA option. It is technically not possible to enable the EA-option for a trading account if there are open positions. This is an MT4 technical restriction by the vendor - FXcast (as any other MT4 broker) cannot do anything against it. The same is with leverage and other things. All positions must be closed BEFORE a change can be done. This is very important to know.

We also find it very strange that in this forum the broker is always a cheater. What is correct is the fact that only a few EAs which are sold worldwide with huge marketing effort really make any money over the time. The market is more complex than any programmer can handle - and most professional traders are hand trading. The dream to simply place an EA and earn money overnight is a nice dream - but it is a dream. Why don't people nail the vendors of the EAs that they dont make money?

We do not know what other brokers do on their business. As far as it concerns us we cannot see if an EA is working on a trading account or a trader is trading it by hand. Most times EAs write comments in the platform - even this the broker does not see on the backend. The EA is always a program that works on the trading station - the trader's computer - only the trades with s/l and t/p are routed to the server. If it is a DLL or code - it is local - the servers would break together if EAs would ran on the broker servers. You may control this - when you close the platform trading is stopped, if the server would have the code it would work on. The broker can send emails and news and messages into the platform - but he cannot access the platform of the trader - of course not this would violate all rules of data protection The broker is no hacker.

FXcast checks trade accounts on a regular base for scalping - short time trading - and this is in fact most times done by EAs. When it is noticed the trader will be warned by email. If he does not change the style of trading (EA settings) we close his account and send him back his money - up to now we even sent the profit without any correction.

The fact that a Broker offers the MT4 platform does not necessary mean that this broker cheats customers. The fact that trader scalps does not necessary mean that all customers are scalpers. There are always 2 directions.

Fxcast would be glad if discussions would take place in a fair and objective manner. We are always open to questions and ideas - but in this bad minded context here it is difficult to stay objective.

As usual, there are always two sides to each coin. Lack of clear and concise information always leads to statements/opinions which are often misinterpreted and lead to finger-pointing. No doubt each trader has his/her unique issues some of which may be attributable to "user-error" when it comes to the platform. Lets face it, some know how to use the platform(s) blidfolded whereas others, while attempting to execute trades immediately, may not invest the necessary time to learn the ropes (I'm still in that learning process).

So, your comments are appreciated. Whether or not it answers/addresses the concerns stated herein, is up to each individual's interpretation. Future, similar input from your side of the fence will only help to put some concerns to rest.

As we've all heard "You can please some of the people some of the time but....."

That's my five cents worth (thanks to inflation and all)!

Trading expert

I tried to start with EA but the system notify me with the folloeing message

"TRADING EXPERT IS PROHIBATED"

what is this

how can i solve it

Do you get that message with all EA's or just one? If it's all then it's a broker issue. Perhaps they don't allow automated trading.

If it's just one then perhaps you're trying to run a live account only EA on a demo or an EA that is tied to a particular account, not yours.

This is just great fx cast with your NAZI CAMP dictatorship style. There will be NO EAs,There will be NO scalping,There will be NO eating or drinking,There will be NO winning of any kind as far as fxcast is concerned and further more we will execute you and your account if you violate our strict trade mandate!!!....I guess I wont be doing business with fxcast.

NAZI CAMP dictatorship style

Dear Forum,

as usual forums bring up people with strange ways of thinking. But to compare us with a 'NAZI CAMP dictatorship style' is the most strange thing we ever heard of.

FXcast simply does not allow scalping. That's it. Very easy to understand. No customer is forced to join us - but if he does he has to follow our rules like each customer from each broker in the world.

And FXcast has now started the Trader's Hall of Fame, where successful traders are honored with a bonus. Successful traders - not people who lose.

If the discussion has come down to such a level as this 'user' wrote it is time to end it.

Your FXcast Team.
