Forward testing EAs

El Cid and Simba,

You have to be really good friends to have such conversations in public...

...or you have an interesting sense of humor.

I've gone through the treads of both of you and actually I am forward testing your sytems - I mean both of your systems.

I've got and learned a lot from this forum so I will give back what I can, first of all test results when I get them.

So, thank you gentlemen - you are both professionals and great persons.

Forward testing, results 10/17/07

EA: oilfxpro advanced duoquads duo free version[1].01

5 pairs: EURUSD, GBPUSD, GBPJPY, AUDUSD, GBPAUD

Result: profit 195 (17:45 CET)

EA: SimbaSystem1.3.official

1 pair: GBPUSD

Result: no trades

Why are u running forward tests on other currencies?Did u find any good settings on backtests for these pairs?Until u get good results on backtests it is pointless forward testing these.

I suggest you try backtesting as many pairs as possible at different times of the day.If you find good settings on these ,optimise them and then run forward tests

I recommend the use of the EAS only for testing purposes and should not be used on live accounts .EAS for live accounts can be provided.

I have had problems in using these EAS for live accounts and have ordered new EAS to be compiled .These will be ready in two weeks.
