I want an indicator thatplot on chart, crossing of two moving averages of RSI . but it has the following choice:

1- the choice of kind of moving avarages ( simple, smoothed, exponential , linear weithed)

2- shifting of moving averages

3-choice of previous or first indicator

I am wondering if somebody could write the indicator .

Does anyone have trading rules and settings to trade the SGMAR indicator? Thanks a lot in advance!

John

The best advice for learning the SGMAR is to read Brown's Books.

In Brown's method indicators do not create the signal but correlate with other means in order to confirm the signal to buy or sell.

Today at just after 10AM EST the SGMAR2_Alert gave a signal to buy but the price (EURUSD) dropped 50 points. If you did not know other things about Brown's method and how to use the RSI then you would have been wrong. I like the Alert just don't use it alone.

Thanks pdean for the advice , I will google the book. One more Question, Can some one put an alert (sound and message) on this indicator for me? thanks in advance.

FXST,

There is probably an order to reading the books depending on how long you have been trading. If you give me an idea of how long you have been trading and the basic method(s) you use, I can perhaps suggest an order. There is also another article by her in another book that has multiple authors. I have not read her most expensive book which is about $200 the last time I checked on Amazon. Reading the books in the order they were written is not necessarily the best order especially if you are adept at Fibonacci, RSI, Trendlines, etc. It will not be the shortest route. The reason is that some of the things she teaches change. Let me know if I can help.

RSI Alert

Has anyone written an alert for the RSI reaching a certain level? If you know or have one would you mind posting it?

Thanks,

Paul
