Attach EA to Chart

Hi all,

When I attach EA to chart the "system" ask me some parameters (Common Long & Short Position and "Allow DLL import" and "Allow live trading" and other).

I don't want set this manually always when I deinit ed init EA.

Can I set this parameter in EA for automatic setting?

yes, you can. Please go to Tools/Options/Expert Advisors. You can set them once and MT4 will remember it...i.e. your EA will start with them preset...

Another question related to automatic settings.

As far as I know the properties window always pops-up for experts when they are attached to chart and there is no way to disable it. If the expert has extern params then the window will also have the 'Inputs' tab, otherwise only the 'Common' tab will appear. Why does this bother u that much?

Because the human error is frequent..:-)...

Well, if u don't change anything it will retain the same values... I would be more worried about human error in values of extern params.

 

I dont think there's a way to disable the pop-up window via MQL. You could probably make an external piece of software (or DLL) that clicks OK on this window as soon as it pops up but thats probably too much of a hassle...

I think it is pretty safe to instruct people to just click OK on this window...This way it will retain the defaults that you have set...
