Discussion of article "Jeremy Scott - Successful MQL5 Market Seller" - page 4

pivomoe:
The Expert Advisor simply looks into history using knowledge of the tick generation algorithm in MT5. Which is actually visible in the strategy tester when testing on anything but all ticks.
Well, if it is so, then it is a complete trickery from the author's side, and from your side it is a serious accusation.

The accusation is serious. Can you post an example with a screenshot of what you are talking about? So far, it doesn't sound convincing.

Why use ticks when a large number of strategies can be overclocked by optimising in the tester.

at the weekend mate skarkalakos sold his Expert Advisor for 3,000 credits. What's interesting, even before the interview with Jeremy was released, he also launched a free "light" version of EA with 0.01 lots. Incidentally, the offer of a free "lightweight" version is also widely available on the AppStore. Developers, take this technique to heart. Well, widgets, of course, can also bring more potential customers.

Mr. skarkalakos sold his EA (3 000 credits) on last weekend. Its interesting, that even before Jeremy interview go live, this developer also used free light version of his EA with the same limitations of 0.01 lot. Besides, such mechanism is very popular at AppStore, for instance. Well, i think, it works and developers should use this mean more actively. And dont forget to use widgets to bring more potential clients to your robot's page.

everyone is shocked. Who could buy an EA for 3,000 ?

I downloaded the demo version of the EA sold for 3000 credits. I analysed the state, the Expert Advisor opens and closes trades within minutes.

If I am not mistaken, it is a tester grail.

I'm adding a screenshot:

What's shocking about it? EAs are bought - the cheaper they are, the more buyers - the more expensive they are, the less buyers.

the whole problem is that there is a huge gap between tester/demo and real.

as long as this gap will be maintained (and it will not only be maintained, but also supported) - it will be possible to sell anything and anyone (even yourself).

MK still closed the sales statistics - when they open the sales statistics (this Pandora's box) - then sales will increase dramatically - and it will not be clear whether they really buy, or it's a trick.

You have to give 20 per cent of the MQ from the mark-ups.
