Dear friends,

Partial Closure EA MT5 has been updated with the following additions:

1. The Move SL to BE after Partial Closure setting has been enriched and now it is possible for the user to move the stop loss of all managed trades to break even, at any one of the 10 Partial Closure Take Profit % levels.

2. A Break Even Padding in Points setting has been added that gives the option to move the stop loss of all managed trades above (for a buy) or below (for a sell) the opening price for a certain number of points, in order to cover any commissions, spread or even add a small profit to the trade.

You can read all the details about these changes in the Partial Closure EA MT4/5 Installation & User Guide: https://www.mql5.com/en/blogs/post/749385/edit

Please update your Partial Closure EA MT5

If you want for example at the 50% of your entire take profit distance, to close the 50% of your trade's lot size, then you should put:

Partial Closure Take Profit % 1: 50

Partial Closure TP Lot Size % 1: 50

Also if you want at the 50% of your entire stop loss distance, to close the 50% of your trade's lot size, then you should put:

Partial Closure Stop Loss % 1: 50

Partial Closure SL Lot Size % 1: 50

Remember that your trades must have an applied take profit (or stop loss) in order the above partial closure settings to work.

Also if you want to manage all account trades, you don't need to put anything in the 'Symbols to Manage' and 'Magic Numbers to Manage' settings, just leave them empty.

Hello,

I have two questions:

1.- Should the symbols specified be written in capitals?

2.- For TP2 and so on, is it the percentage actually referring to the initial position or for the remainder?

Thanks,

R

Hello and thank you for your purchase,

The symbols must be written as they appear in the MT5 terminal's  >> View >> MarketWatch window, with capital letters and any suffix they may have.

The percentages of the TP2 settings and all next, is that of the current take profit distance and the initial lot size. Please read the details below:

  • Partial Closure Take Profit % 2: The percentage of the take profit distance in which the EA will close partially all managed trades. For example if take profit is 100 points and 20 is inserted in this setting, the EA will close partially the trade when the 20 points take profit level is reached.

  • Partial Closure TP Lot Size % 2: The percentage of the trades initial lot size that will be partially closed by the EA, when the above Partial Closure Take Profit % 2 level is reached. For example if there is a 1 initial lot open trade and 10 is inserted in this setting, the EA will close partially the 10% of it, therefore another 0.10 lots. The remaining 0.80 lots trade will keep running.

Let me know if you need anything else to help you with.

Hello again,

So if I understand correctly, "Take Profit %" is the distance in points, not the percentage of the move. In the case my TP is 100 points, 20 would be both 20 points and 20% but if my TP is 200 points, this would be totally different.

Best,

Ricard

No my dear friend, it is the:

For example if take profit is 100 points and 20 is inserted in this setting, the EA will close partially the trade when the 20 points take profit level is reached.

So, in your 100 points take profit distance example, a setting of 20 will be 20 points.

If your take profit distance is 200 points, a setting of 20 will be 40 points.

Please contact me if you want me to help you any more with your settings.
