Hello, I have a question about the parameter "split copied trade in parts".

What if the receiving account has a limit of 100 lots per position and my sending account sends 200 lots?

Should I select 2 and the receiving account will take 2 trades with 100 lots each?

Thank you for your answer

Hello, if you put Split Copied Trades in Parts=2 whatever is the final lot size of the receiver copied trade, the Local Trade Copier EA MT5 will split it in 2 parts and will open 2 trades.

For example if the receiver lot size is 200 lots and you have Split Copied Trades in Parts=2, the receiver account will open 2 trades of 100 lots each.

Then you can attach 2 Local Trade Copiers in 2 receiver charts to overcome this problem.

You can use these settings in each one of the receiver Local Trade Copiers and a different magic number. In the first receiver LTC:

Magic Number=12345

Lot Size Type=Multiplier

Multiplier=0.5

Split Copied Trades in Parts=2

and in the second receiver LTC:

Magic Number=123456

Lot Size Type=Multiplier

Multiplier=0.5

Split Copied Trades in Parts=2

You need to attach the Local Trade Copier EA MT5 in 1 (one) chart of the receiver account and apply these settings, remember to put the correct transmitter account number, mine is an example (123456789):

Magic Number: 12345

Lot Size Type: Multiplier

Multiplier: 1

Split Copied Trades in Parts: 2

Then open another chart, attach another Local Trade Copier EA MT5 and put the same settings, but with a different magic number:

Magic Number: 123456

Lot Size Type: Multiplier

Multiplier: 1

Split Copied Trades in Parts: 2

This way each transmitter opened trade will be opened in 2 half size parts in the receiver account, split in 2 parts each, so a 300 lots US500 transmitter trade will be copied as four 75 lots receiver trades.

Hi Eleni,

Could you please double check the proportional multiplier setting.  The proportional calculation works correctly, but it is always 1, even if I make it 0.5 (which should be half) or 2, which should be double.  Thanks.

Hello, if you want to use the Proportional Multiplier lot size type, you need to put:

Lot Size Type: Proportional Multiplier

Proportional Multiplier: 0.5

or

Lot Size Type: Proportional Multiplier

Proportional Multiplier: 2

and will work as it should.

Read how the Proportional Multiplier setting works in the settings/inputs guide: https://www.mql5.com/en/blogs/post/745681

Thanks, what you described are the same settings I used, yet, the proportional doesn't work.  I'm using it on MT4 as the transmitter account and MT5 is the receiver.

Hello, Proportional Multiplier works fine, you need to put these settings in the MT5 receiver side settings, not in the transmitter, all settings are done on the receiver side.

Lot Size Type: Proportional Multiplier

Proportional Multiplier: 0.5

or

Lot Size Type: Proportional Multiplier

Proportional Multiplier: 2

and will work as it should.

Yes, that is exactly what I've done.  I've been using this EA for some time now, I know how to use it properly.

As I said Proportional Multiplier works fine with Local Trade Copier EA MT5, I've tested it myself in my terminals many times, since you've asked me.

Please make sure that you are using the latest 3.40 version and try again, it works as it should.

Hello,

I have now purchased MT5 copier in addition to MT4.

I have a suggestion if you do not mind :)

Would it be possible to add a delay or even slightly modify the copy signals (to make them FTMO friendly)?

1. For example to delay signal by 4 to 15 seconds

and

2. Slightly change the SL and TP level by adding or subsctracting several points?

Randomizing the trades slightly would be amazin if trading prop firms.

Thank you

Amazing, can't wait :)

I have a feature request if it won't be technically impossible. It will be nice if we have Risk to Reward settings for TP1, TP2 and TP3. Such that whatever is the number of pips or points for a trade stoploss, the copier will automatically set the first TP to lets 2:1 Risk to Reward, TP 2 to something like 5:1 RR etc based on the option selected in the setting. This can be an option if we choose not to follow Signal transmitter's take profit levels.

Hello Sammix, I will keep your idea in mind for a future update. I would like to understand better what's the meaning of TP2 ot TP3 levels, if the TP1 level is reached?

Unless you mean that the user will be able to select either TP1, TP2 or TP3 level and not all of them.

In the new update that is coming in a couple of days, there will be automatic partial closure settings available, that will help to manage receiver copied trades better.
