NHS Global Exit v1.00
NHS Global Exit sets real broker-side Stop Loss and Take Profit on every trade of one symbol, from two absolute price levels. It never opens or closes trades by market and it is not a trading strategy. Its only job is to keep a shared SL and/or TP on the symbol you choose, controlled by draggable lines and a compact dashboard.
Because the stops are real server-side levels, they stay active even when the terminal or computer is off. Levels already on a trade stay there while MetaTrader is not running. New trades receive them only while the EA is running.
Key settings
| Input | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Symbol | Chart symbol | Symbol to manage. Leave blank for the chart symbol. |
| Enable global SL / TP | On | Whether each level is ON when the EA starts. |
| SL / TP price level | 0 | Starting price. 0 means place it with Set or drag. |
| Apply to open positions / pending orders | On | Which trades the levels are applied to. |
| Auto-apply to future trades | On | Keeps applying ON levels to new trades while the EA runs. |
| Force-clear when disabled | Off | When on, turning a level OFF removes its stop from matching trades. |
| Magic number filter | -1 (all) | -1 covers every magic number. Any other value limits the EA to that magic number. |
| Max slippage / Retry pause | 20 points / 400 ms | Modify deviation, and the pause between apply passes. |
| Hide MetaTrader trade levels | On | Hides the terminal's default SL/TP lines. The real stops stay active. |
| Instance ID | Blank | A unique ID for several instances on the same account and symbol. |
| Alerts | On | Terminal alerts for bulk updates, refused actions and levels that no trade can use. |
How the levels work
- Absolute prices: the SL and TP lines are fixed prices, not distances from entry.
- Valid side only: for a buy, SL must sit below the Bid and TP above it. For a sell, it is the opposite. A level on the wrong side for a trade is not applied to that trade. If a level is unusable for every trade in scope, its button turns amber and the reason appears as a tooltip.
- Broker rules: distances respect the symbol's minimum stop and freeze levels, and prices are normalised to the tick size.
- Retries: a change the server rejects is retried after one second, then after longer pauses up to 60 seconds.
Dashboard
The dashboard starts collapsed as one NHS GE + button in the top-left corner. Expanded, it offers SL ON / OFF, TP ON / OFF, ALL ON / OFF, Set SL, Set TP and AUTO ON / OFF. Set places a line at least 50 points from the mid-price without touching live trades. Dragging a line moves that level. When the level is ON, the new price is applied to matching trades at once.
Auto-apply and Force-clear
- AUTO ON (default): a short timer checks open positions and pending orders and applies the ON levels to any that are missing or different. This is how new trades receive the levels. It happens only while the EA is attached and running.
- AUTO OFF: levels are applied only when you press ON or drag a line while that level is ON. A pending force-clear is still retried until it is accepted.
- Force-clear: when on, turning a level OFF removes that stop from matching trades. A removal the server rejects is retried until accepted. When off, turning a level OFF only stops the EA from writing that field, and existing stops stay as they are.
Limits
A single absolute SL price cannot protect both long and short positions at once. Only trades for which the price is on the correct side receive that stop. Place the line for the exposure you care about, or manage one direction at a time.
Practical tips
- Test on a demo account first. Real SL/TP changes go live as soon as the server accepts them, and the EA has no undo.
- Drag the lines to the exact prices you want while that level is OFF, then press ON. An ON level is applied to trades at once.
- Set the magic number filter if other EAs or manual trades must keep their own stops.
- Changing a trading input (for example Enable, the price levels, Force-clear or the magic filter) resets the saved levels to their input values. Changing a display input, such as dragging a line or the dashboard position, keeps them.
- Use a distinct Instance ID only if you run more than one Global Exit instance on the same symbol.
Works on MT5 hedging and netting accounts. Start on a demo account and never risk money you cannot afford to lose.
