Sigma7 AI Gold

A gold (XAUUSD) Expert Advisor driven by a built-in pattern model. Once an hour it compares the current multi-timeframe picture of the market with AI reference patterns and trades in the direction of the first close match, with a fixed stop loss, a fixed take profit and a trailing stop. No grid, no martingale, no averaging. Fully self-contained — the model is compiled into the EA, with no external file, indicator or connection.

What it does

At the start of every hour Sigma7 AI Gold reads a momentum oscillator on five timeframes (M15 to D1) and compares that picture with the AI reference patterns built into the EA. A trade is opened only when the market is already leaning clearly to one side and the closest matching pattern points the same way; otherwise the hour is skipped.

Every trade gets a stop loss and a take profit from the start. Once a trade is far enough in profit, a trailing stop follows the price and locks in part of the gain. At most two trades are open at a time, and a buy is never opened while a sell is open (or the other way round). By default it does not trade on Fridays and closes any open trade before the weekend.

Lot size grows with the account: by default 0.01 lot for every 300 USD of balance, with an optional ceiling. There is no grid, no martingale and no averaging.

How to use it

  • Symbol: XAUUSD (gold). The EA runs on other symbols, but it is designed and tested on gold only, and it is not recommended elsewhere.
  • Timeframe: any. The EA makes its decisions on H1 whatever the chart's timeframe is; an H1 chart is the natural choice.
  • Account: a hedging account is recommended. On a netting account trades on the same symbol merge into one position.
  • Spread: a low-spread account is recommended. "Max spread" is in broker points: on a gold quote with 2 decimals the default 150 is 1.50 USD, on a quote with 3 decimals it is 0.15 USD — raise it on such a broker if trades are skipped.
  • Session times are the broker's server time. The default window (15:00 to 11:00 the next day) skips the late-morning hours of the server day.
  • Run one chart per account. The EA refuses to start next to another copy of itself in the same terminal.
  • Keep the terminal running on trading days, ideally on a VPS. Open trades are read back from the account after a restart. The peak balance used by "Peak-balance sizing" is saved to a small file in the terminal's own Files folder.
  • Test it in the Strategy Tester on XAUUSD first, and run it on a demo account before a live one.

Inputs

Identity

  • Magic number: the id the EA uses to recognise its own trades.
  • Show chart panel: a status panel on the chart with the account, lot size, spread, status, open trades and closed results.

Position sizing

  • Lot sizing mode: "Per balance step" adds "Lots per step" for every "Balance step size" of balance (at least one step); "Fixed lots" uses a fixed volume.
  • Fixed lots: the volume used in the fixed mode.
  • Lots per step: the volume added per balance step. Default 0.01.
  • Balance step size: the balance that one step stands for. Default 300.
  • Max lots per order: a ceiling on every order, in both modes. Zero (the default) means no ceiling.
  • Peak-balance sizing: when on, lots are sized off the highest balance seen, so they do not shrink during a drawdown. Deposits and withdrawals move that peak by the same amount. Off by default.

Exits (one pip is 0.10 USD of the gold price)

  • Take profit (pips): the target on every trade. Default 250 (25.00 USD).
  • Stop loss (pips): the stop on every trade. Default 400 (40.00 USD).
  • Use trailing stop: turns the trailing stop on or off.
  • Trailing start (pips): how far a trade must be in profit before the trailing stop starts.
  • Trailing distance (pips): how far behind the price the trailing stop is kept.
  • Trailing step (pips): the smallest move of the trailing stop.

Trade filters

  • Trade direction: both, buy only or sell only.
  • Max open trades: the most trades open at once. Default 2.
  • Max spread (points): no new trade while the spread is above this, in broker points.

Session (server time)

  • Start hour, Start minute, End hour, End minute: the daily window for new trades, in the broker's server time. A window that ends earlier than it starts runs over midnight.

Friday close

  • Close on Friday: when on, open trades are closed on Friday and no new trade is opened for the rest of that Friday.
  • Friday close hour: the server hour from which this applies; zero (the default) means the whole of Friday, so the EA does not trade on Fridays.

What it does not do

It does not use a grid, martingale or averaging. It does not connect to anything outside the terminal and needs no external file. It sends no order outside the symbol's own trading sessions.

Results depend on the broker's spread, commission and execution. Results in the Strategy Tester do not guarantee future results.
