Great simulation tool, but, don`t use black background on your platform.

If you have black background on your charts, you can´t see the balance, equity and margin numbers.

Is it possible to make the TP/SL line so that you can move it up and down with the mouse, like with the sell limit, buy limit, sell stop and buy stop?

I´m trading EWP and have no predetermined TP from the start of the trade, I have to tap many time on the UP/DOWN tap in a trade :)

Hope it make sense, written English is what I learned in School 30y ago, not my favorite :)

The short answer is no....There is a big difference between the pending order lines and the sl/tp lines. The pending order lines are drawn by the EA and are ON the chart and therefore can be selected and moved easily because you are not actually trading an active trade. You are only moving a horizontal line that WILL BECOME an active trade when hit.

Once a LIVE order is placed, the stop loss and take profit lines are drawn by the terminal and are IN the chart to represent where the stop and take profits are currently set. They are not a selectable line that can be moved. The only way to move them is to programatically modify the stoploss and take profit values of the open active orders... which is what the buttons do.

Now normally, on a live chart, the terminal will look for and monitor when you click on the chart to move something but this functionality does not work on strategy tester. Making all of this work in strategy tester was a real challenge. I hope you are able to improve your chart reading and trading skills using the skill builder. Thanks for purchasing it.

Hi Jim,

really enjoy using your products and watching your youtube videos.  Just wondering with the skill builder would it be possible to update it so i am able to place multiple orders during testing?  for example ... im trying to test following trends lines with multiple orders open however the skill builder only allows me to have one order open at a time?  if not, maybe you have some other suggestions i could use.

don't have a fully functioning version for mt5 yet. There are some things you can't do in the tester of mt5 like move the pending order lines. but I'm working on it and a version of the Jimdandy Trade management tool for mt5

  I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems. The way to install is from within your mt4 platform. DO NOT try to install it from the mql5 website... Most importantly make sure you open your mt4 terminal and are logged into the mql5 community IN THAT PLATFORM by using the tools/options/community tab. Log in with the same username and password that you used when purchasing the skillbuilder. You should see in your JOURNAL tab that you are logged into the community, Select the MARKET tab of your terminal (if you don't see your terminal push CTRL+T)and then the PURCHASED tab. You should see the things you have purchased and it should tell you how many activations you have left of the skillbuilder. You can install it in 5 different instances of mt4.. on your laptop, dekstop, work computer... vps... wherever. If you don't see it in your list of purchased items, you may not be logged into the community. Metaquotes controls all of this so I really have no way of knowing exactly what is going wrong for you so hopefully this will help you get it going.. Pip Pip..

Every time I load a template unto the strategy tester when Skill Builder is running, skill builder disappears of the chart. Is that normal? How can I fix that?

I purchased the EA and was previously trying out the demo but somehow I changed something not sure what and now the boxes to click on the open and close trades etc are on top of each other in the top left had corner and I cannot move them.

I have deleted and re installed but no change. I also tried new charts, timeframes etc.

Please help me fix this as I have paid full price for the program and cannot use it at the moment at all.

Hi Jim,

I gave up using skill builder as I was unable to use it the boxes will not move or let me drag them around. 

I have a new pc and new windows and new install of mt4, even a new broker, I used it for maybe a day or 2 then same problem I had before.

All the boxes go to the top left and will  not let me drag them around.

Then if I double click and drag them they separate into their components.

I am unsure why this particular problem keeps happening to me on different pc, different broker, different installations of mt4?

Any suggestions,
