When the weighted price breaks out above the upper band (the SMMA of highs), it indicates positive momentum, and the oscillator value is calculated as the difference between the two. Conversely, when the weighted price falls below the lower band (the SMMA of lows), it signifies negative momentum, with the value representing that negative difference. If the price remains within the channel, the momentum is considered neutral and is plotted as zero.
