The indicator automatically colors the trend line:

5. Complete Parameter Customization
ZenTrend allows you to adjust all key parameters for your needs:

  • MA_Period — moving average period

  • MA_Period — moving average period (default: 14)

  • Step — minimum price change (in points) to update the line (0 = filtering disabled)

  • UseBetterFormula — enable advanced formula for greater signal accuracy

How ZenTrend Works

ZenTrend simultaneously calculates four moving averages—based on open, close, high, and low prices—using the selected smoothing algorithm. The trend line value for each bar is then determined using either the standard or enhanced formula (“UseBetterFormula”).

If the "Step" filter is enabled, the indicator checks if the current change exceeds the set threshold. If not, the line remains at the previous level, helping to avoid reacting to market noise.

Depending on the direction of the trend line change, the segment is colored green (up) or red (down).

All calculations and visualization are performed directly on the chart, ensuring a clean and clear display of the trend without unnecessary clutter.
