I’m using your EA “Daily Trading Limiter” and I need help configuring it correctly.

My goal is very specific: I want that, if during the same day I reach a maximum drawdown of, for example, 40% or €400 (on a €1,000 account—measured on equity, including open positions), the EA automatically closes all open positions.

Also, I’d like the “day” to reset at a fixed time, for example 23:00 (local/platform time), so that at that time the daily limit resets. (If it’s designed to reset at 00:00 UTC, that also works for me.)

The issue is that, when I run it, it does not close the open positions when the daily drawdown is reached. I do see the alert/message that the limit has been reached, but the positions still remain open.

Could you please tell me exactly which parameters I should use to achieve this behavior (close all positions when the DD limit is reached + reset at the specified daily time)?

I’m very happy to see your message. Feedback from experienced users like you, who take the time to share their thoughts, really helps us improve.

I tested the Expert Advisor on my side, and it worked well for me. So I suggest we try two things to identify the issue:

1. Incorrect inputs
   The issue might be related to the settings used. To check this, I’ve shared the exact inputs that worked for me. If you use the same settings and it works on your side, that would confirm it was an input-related issue.

2. Broker order filling mode
   If the same settings do not work for you, then the issue may be related to the broker’s order filling mode. In that case, I’ll need to make a small modification to the code to fix it (it’s a simple adjustment).
   If this happens, please go to the Expert tab and the Journal, and take a screenshot of the notes/messages written there.

I’ve also shared the settings I used along with the results I got.

Thank you very much — it looks like it’s working properly now.

Just to have it clearly written down: the Daily DD close-out is already solved on my side.

What I still need to confirm is whether this same EA can cover one additional requirement:

• Global equity limit: if the account equity drops to a threshold that I set (for example €90,000 on a €100,000 account), the EA should immediately close all open positions, regardless of the Daily DD.

Could you please confirm if the EA already supports this behavior, and which exact parameter I should set to define that equity threshold?
