Your XAUUSD Buy Stop / Sell Stop Grid EA Strategy

1. Initial order placement

Buy Stop orders — 5 orders

  • Place 5 Buy Stop pending orders above the current market price.

  • Each order is spaced 1.00 XAUUSD price unit apart.

  • Initial lot sizes range from 0.01 to 0.05 lots.

Sell Stop orders — 5 orders

  • Place 5 Sell Stop pending orders below the current market price.

  • Each order is spaced 1.00 XAUUSD price unit apart.

  • Initial lot sizes range from 0.01 to 0.05 lots.

  • Total initial orders: 10 pending orders.

  • Trading mode: Both Buy and Sell.

  • Start trading: Place the grid as soon as the market opens and the first available tick arrives.

  • Spacing: Used only to determine the distance between Buy Stop and Sell Stop levels.

2. Trailing stop strategy

Your specific requirement was to wait until there are at least 2 profitable trades on the same side before activating trailing stops.

Trailing should manage profitable positions without unnecessarily closing trades that have not reached their stop-loss or other closing conditions.

3. Basket profit and loss management

You finalized both limits at 25% of the current account balance.

  1. Close all EA-managed open positions.

  2. Cancel all EA-managed pending orders.

  3. Start a fresh grid cycle.

  4. Continue trading rather than permanently stopping after the first completed cycle.
