Brief Summary of the Strategy :
This Expert Advisor (EA) implements a pairs trading strategy using two currency pairs: EURCHF and AUDUSD. It calculates the statistical relationship (spread) between the two pairs and enters market-neutral trades when the spread diverges significantly from its historical average (based on Z-score). It opens one long and one short position simultaneously and closes them when the spread returns to normal or certain exit conditions are met. Problem Description (in English) When running the backtest in MT5, entry trades are executed; however, open positions are never closed. As a result, the Equity in the backtest fluctuates, but the Balance remains unchanged (since no trades are closed). I would like to solve this issue and adjust the code so it functions correctly.
