Paying customers are quality customers: When a trader is willing to spend $50, $100, or $200 on an indicator, they are actually "buying" your intellectual property. They will proactively read the documentation, learn how it works, how to read the signals, and will appreciate the product much more.
Valuable feedback: Paying customers are usually people with real-world experience. They will contribute extremely insightful feedback to help you upgrade the product, instead of asking naive questions that waste time.
Protecting intellectual property: You are not obligated to foster a sense of entitlement in people who do not respect intellectual labor.
