The Basket EA MT4 has been updated with the following options:

Magic Numbers to Manage, along with Symbols to Manage and Symbols not to Manage have been included to allow a better and easier control of the account trades that the Basket EA MT4 will manage.

New basket settings in money have been added. Now the user apart from the basket percentage SL, TP, BE and Trailing SL settings, can select SL, TP, BE and Trailing SL settings in account currency (in money), for all managed positions combined.

Finally Account Protection settings are offered by the Basket EA MT4. Now you can protect your trading account with account equity take profit and stop loss levels, that when reached the EA will close all open trades, delete any pending orders and close all charts with any other EAs attached on them if selected.

Please update your Basket EA MT4.

Would it be possible please in your next update to include the option to see a few bits of information on screen?

Basically just a line drawn in a different colour to show where the EA is calculating or has calculated the current exit point for all trades.

I use the % option to close a basket take profit at 10% and if one has 6 or 7 trades open of various size values, it would just be really convenient to see where the EA will close out all the open trades.  If a line is not practical, then a value on the screen in text would be just as useful.

As for your request, is not technically possible, because there is no specific price level that the Basket EA will close each one of the open trades.

Your desired basker take profit level could be the result of various levels of the running trades, a couple of them could be in large profit, 1-2 of the around break even and the remaining in loss.

So your 10% basket take profit doesn't mean that it will be achieved when your 7 trades be around 1.4% profit each, but a combination of profit/loss results that make this 10% in combined profit.

Thank you Eleni.  What I am trying to achieve is that all trades close at the same time, once the total is 10% greater than break even of all trades combined.  Have I understood the Basket EA correctly by using 10% instead of a $ value?

This is my first day and I have yet to see any trades close?

I understood from the text below that the basket would close once Break Even plus 10% was achieved.  Have I misundestood?

• Basket Take Profit %: The Take Profit level in % of balance (decimals are available) for all open positions combined, in which the EA will close all open positions. The profit percentage level is calculated as equity over balance, taking swaps and commissions into account. This setting is being reset on every account balance update when Reset Basket Settings on Target=false and only when a Basket TP/SL/BE or Trailing SL target has been achieved when Reset Basket Settings on Target=true.

Yes Wayne, you have understood correctly, all your positions will close at the same time, when a combined profit of 10% is reached, but this won't be the result of 7 trades having 1.42% profit each.

You could have 1 trade with 5% profit, another with 3% profit, another with 4% profit, 2 around break even and 2 with 1% loss each.

So, you see the 10% combined profit could be the result of profits and losses too.

Hello Joao, it depends if you want to continue trading after this profit/loss closure or not.

If you want the Basket EA to close all open/managed trades and then your other EAs to continue opening new trades, you should put these profit/loss settings here:

Use Basket Take Profit %: true

Basket Take Profit %: 1

Use Basket Stop Loss %: true

Basket Stop Loss %: 4

If when you reach the account profit/loss level, you want the Basket EA to close all open/managed trades and close all charts, disabling all other EAs, then you need to put:

Use Account Protection: true

Account Take Profit Equity: ... (your account equity level that you want the Basket EA to close all open/managed trades, be careful NOT the profit, but the account equity level)

Account Stop Loss Equity: ... (your account equity level that you want the Basket EA to close all open/managed trades, be careful NOT the loss, but the account equity level)

Close All Charts After TP/SL Equity: true (if you want the Basket EA to close all other charts and remove all other EAs)

What I want is for it to close everything when it reaches a certain percentage of overall profit on the account, because my EA works with several quick orders, so I want it to close when the closed profit plus open orders reach, for example, 1% all. I just downloaded this and am excited to start using it. I'm working on the settings and would like to verify that I'm doing it correctly. I want to control my equity exposure. Here's what I've done so far:

Questions:

1. Does the Accout Stop Loss Equity trail the equity balance? 

2. Do I also need to set a balance TP/SL?

The Account Stop Loss Equity setting is and emergency setting that will close all managed trades and close all charts when it is reached. But be careful, in this setting you must put the lowest equity of your account that you can accept, not a percentage of loss. For example if your account is $1000 and you want all your managed trades to close and all charts to close too, when your account equity reaches $800, then you need to put in this setting:

Account Stop Loss Equity=800

The same applies for the Account Take Profit Equity, it must be an account equity value and not a percentage, so if for example you want to close all trades and charts when your $1000 account equity reaches $1200, then you should put:

Account Take Profit Equity=1200

These emergency account protection settings do not trail the account equity.

If you want to trail your profit, you need to use the Basket Trailing Stop Loss % or Basket Trailing Stop Loss in Money settings.

Hello, there are 2 ways of implementing that SL in money.

If you want to count only open account trades, then you should put:

Reset Basket Settings on Target: false

Use Basket Stop Loss in Money: true

Basket Stop Loss in Money: 3000

If you want to count closed and open trades from the time the Basket EA MT4 was attached on your chart/account, then put:

Reset Basket Settings on Target: true

Use Basket Stop Loss in Money: true

Basket Stop Loss in Money: 3000

Remember that these Basket Stop Loss in Money settings doesn't stop your other EAs from trading, so you could see new losses piling up.

If you want to stop close all other charts and stop any other EAs from opening new trades, then you should use the Account Protection settings below:

Use Account Protection: true

Account Stop Loss Equity: ... (your current account balance minus 3000)

Close All Chart After TP/SL Equity: true

Hello Jesse, you can't manage the buys and the sells separately, the Basket EA manages all the trades of the account combined.
