# MQL5 Market portfolio draft
Status: draft for review. XAUUSD M1 Strategy Tester checks passed for the tested period and settings; MQL5 Market automatic validation and seller registration are still pending. The listing describes the M1 indicator, not the separate M5 prototype.
## Proposed product details
- Product name: **Gold Opening Range Signals**
- Platform: MetaTrader 5
- Category: Indicator
- Suggested purchase price: **USD 30**, subject to the current Market minimum and your final decision.
- Product file after release testing: `Gold_Opening_Range_Signals.ex5`
- Recommended chart: M1.
- Logo: `Gold_Opening_Range_Logo_Premium_200.png`.
- Real chart example: `XAUUSD_M1_signals.png` shows BUY arrows on XAUUSD M1. The opening-range lines are outside the captured view; do not describe this screenshot as showing both range lines.

## English product description
Gold Opening Range Signals is a MetaTrader 5 indicator for XAUUSD M1 that marks two-candle setups in relation to the high and low of a selected five-minute opening candle.
The indicator draws the opening range and searches for qualifying setups after the opening candle has closed. Green arrows mark BUY setups above the opening-range high. Red arrows mark SELL setups below the opening-range low. Signals are evaluated on closed candles.
For a BUY setup, both candles must be bullish and remain completely above the upper range line. The low of the second candle may touch, but may not fall below, the first candle's open. The second candle must close above the first candle's high. SELL conditions are the reverse: both candles must be bearish and remain completely below the lower range line, the second candle's high may touch but may not exceed the first candle's open, and its close must be below the first candle's low.
Settings include the opening time, the hours during which signals may be generated, candle body and wick requirements, and an optional maximum distance from the range. Distance can be specified in points or as a multiple of ATR. The distance is measured between the relevant range line and the closest wick of the two setup candles. The ATR period, arrow offset, and range colour are adjustable.
The opening time and signal hours use the broker's server time. For a 15:00 opening, the range is based on the 15:00–15:05 M5 candle. Attach the indicator to an M1 chart. The opening minute must be aligned to an M5 candle: 00, 05, 10, and so on.
This is a visual indicator. It does not open or manage positions. Signals are observations based on the configured rules and do not guarantee trading results.
## Suggested screenshots
Capture real MT5 screenshots from the release build. Show the same settings used in each example and use English annotations where needed. Do not imply a backtest or signal is a real executed trade.
1. Main chart: M1 with the M5 opening-range lines and readable BUY and SELL arrows.
2. BUY setup: zoom into the two closed candles, the upper range line, and the BUY arrow.
3. SELL setup: zoom into the two closed candles, the lower range line, and the SELL arrow.
4. Settings: opening time, signal time window, body and wick options, distance filter, ATR period, and arrow offset.
5. Distance example: show the range line and the closest wick used for the optional maximum distance.
The MQL5 publication guide currently specifies a maximum of 12 screenshots, a maximum image size of 1920×1080, no more than 2 MB per image, and at least one side of at least 720 pixels. Check the current upload form before preparing the final images.
## Release checks before listing
The release build compiled without errors or warnings. A real-tick XAUUSD M1 Strategy Tester run compared 16,408 conditions across default, ATR, points and wick settings with zero mismatches. See `Test_Report.md` for scope and limitations. This does not establish error-free operation or Market approval.
- Check more XAUUSD history and, when available, an additional broker, including known valid and invalid BUY/SELL pairs.
- Check live bar close, attachment, reload, reconnection, terminal restart, and delayed history loading. Verify arrows do not disappear or shift after a closed candle.
- Both body/wick options, disabled distance, 100 points and ATR 1.5 passed the Strategy Tester comparison. Continue checking equality at the first open, strict close beyond the first extreme, line touches, and signal-window boundaries.
- Bounds checks and retry handling were added for unavailable ATR and unsynchronized M5 data; extended reconnection and delayed-history testing remain useful.
- Check behaviour near midnight and for a signal window crossing midnight. Daily range selection currently uses the calendar day of each signal bar; do not claim overnight continuity until its intended behaviour is defined and verified.
- Check multiple instances on the same chart. The current object prefix is based on the chart ID, so instances may share range-line objects and interfere when one is removed.
- Check insufficient history, long chart histories, Strategy Tester visual mode, several symbols and timeframes, and MQL5 Market automatic validation. Investigate and resolve any slowdown or errors.
- Review on-screen input descriptions, product name, version and copyright branding with the seller before building the final EX5.
- Capture the screenshots from the release build and prepare an English logo and listing.
## Publication steps
1. Register or sign in at MQL5.com, open the Seller section, submit the required identity details, and wait for Seller status. Do not send identity documents through chat.
2. Complete the release checks and compile the final indicator in MetaEditor. Keep the `.mq5` source privately; Market takes the compiled `.ex5` product file.
3. In the Market seller interface, select **Add Product**, choose MetaTrader 5 and Indicator, and fill in the name, category, and price. Verify the current minimum in the form.
4. Add a suitable product logo, the English description above, and genuine screenshots. Review the text and screenshots for accuracy before uploading.
5. Upload the final `.ex5` in Versions and run the Market's automatic validation. Read its report and fix any failures; do not treat validation alone as a guarantee of future behaviour.
6. Review the listing and current Market rules. Submit or publish only when you approve the exact product, price, and presentation. The Market rules say products passing automatic tests can be published automatically; check the current interface before submitting.
7. After release, monitor customer messages and keep the product maintained as the platform changes.
## Price and listing considerations
MQL5's Market rules state a minimum paid price of $30 and a 20% Market commission. At $30, $24 remains after that commission, before any withdrawal costs or applicable tax. The rules also state that proceeds are held for a week for approval. Verify current terms before listing.
The Market rules prohibit posting multiple copies of substantially the same product that differ only in settings, symbol, or timeframe. Do not list the M1 and M5 variants separately without resolving this; a single configurable product may be a better direction, subject to review and testing.
