Read higher-timeframe volume momentum without leaving your trading chart — and know exactly how strong it is, on any symbol.
This indicator combines the classic Force Index (price change × volume, EMA-smoothed) with true multi-timeframe display and a unique Strength Dashboard that converts the histogram into a normalized percentage. A +65% reading means the same thing on XAUUSD, EURUSD, or any other instrument, so you can build one set of rules and apply it everywhere.
Key Features
- True MTF display — attach to M1 and read M15/H1/H4 momentum directly on your chart. Each higher-timeframe bar is rendered precisely across the lower-timeframe candles (Steps or Slope mode), no repainting of closed values
- Strength Dashboard — shows momentum as a percentage of the strongest bar in the lookback window (default 200 bars):
- Current — the forming candle, live intrabar reading (can exceed ±100% on exceptional momentum bursts)
- Closed — the last completed candle, stable and decision-grade
- Rating — automatic classification: Weak / Medium / Strong / Extreme, Bull or Bear
- Cross-symbol normalization — percentages are unit-free, so thresholds like "only trade when |Closed| ≥ 25%" work identically on metals, forex pairs, and indices
- Color histogram — green above zero, red below, adjustable width
- Full alert system — zero-line crossover alerts via popup, sound, email, and push notification, with direction filter (Up only / Down only / Both)
- Tick or Real volume — switchable with one input
- Lightweight — buffer-based calculation, fully compatible with iCustom for EA integration
How to Use
- Attach to any chart; set "EFI timeframe" to the higher timeframe you want to monitor (e.g. M15 while trading on M1)
- Direction: histogram above zero = buyers in control, below zero = sellers in control
- Entry filter: take zero-line crossover signals only when the dashboard's Closed value is at least ±25%, filtering out low-momentum noise
- Momentum shift warning: when Current and Closed show opposite signs, an intrabar reversal is developing — wait for the candle close to confirm
- Exhaustion caution: Extreme readings (≥ 80%) often mark the final thrust of a move rather than the start of a new one — avoid chasing
