The type of breakout candles that Project Volas EA will trade:
Here is a simple close-up illustration from 14 Jun M5 chart of EURUSD, to give you a visual of the type of breakout candles that Project Volas traded on that day.
Project Volas is not trend biased, hence it is able to react quickly to a fast change in the momentum direction like what happened on 14 Jun as shown in the screenshot below.
On 14 Jun, the EA traded the upside momentum when the upside candle is forming, and then 6 hours later the EA again traded the downside momentum when the downside candle is forming.
It is worth noting that the EA entered the market when the strong candle was still forming (not closed yet) and that is because right after the strong candle was closed, the momentum simmered down.
You can see it from the screenshot below, all the candles that followed after the strong candle were shorter, which basically translates to weaker momentum which was time to be out of the market.
It is important for breakout EA to be able to detect fast price action movement without lag, and to only enter the market when the momentum is strong.
Hope this gives you a better picture on the type of candles or price action that Project Volas EA is hunting for.

In case you've missed out my previous posts, this is just a reminder that News Filter is no longer required for Grid Hero Version 4,5, and onward versions.
The latest versions of Grid Hero come with an enhanced core algorithm that performs well even without News Filter.
Nonetheless, you can still enable it if you want to, and it is basically an optional feature now and entirely up to individual preference.
For your info, I've disabled News Filter on all my Grid Hero signals.

Yesterday's FOMC Press Conference at 21:30hrs (GMT+3) - More profits by Project Volas EA
Project Volas continued to rake in more profits from yesterday's FOMC Press Conference at 21:30hrs (GMT+3).
Please refer to the screenshot below for the trade transactions details.
All the above trade transactions were opened and closed within a flash of 2 minutes as you can see from the Open Time and Close Time for each individual trade.
In fact the trade open time ranged from as quick as 10 seconds to 31 seconds, and this is what I like to call genuine scalping. So overall just yesterday alone from the 2 small pockets of time window of news event, the EA made a good 7.63% gain.
This is how the EA works, it doesn't trade often, with little losses at times, but all the EA need is opportunities like these to rake in profits that easily outweighed the little losses.
And this latest version of Project Volas comes with a hybrid form of Pyramiding algorithm which has proved to work extremely well for the EA - a very successful enhancement compared to the earlier versions.
Remember patience is essential for this EA, and you will be rewarded.

UK GENERAL ELECTION 2017 - GBPUSD's big drop:
Today's GBPUSD chart explained it all with a sharp drop of 230 pips in a single M5 candle - an unexpected outcome from the UK election.
Theresa May's election strategy has backfired as she has failed to secure enough seats to form the majority government, which left the UK with a hung parliament.
This is a shocking outcome which is clearly unexpected by most, and the market sentiment was well reflected in today's GBPUSD chart - a 230 pips drop in a single M5 candle right at 00:00hrs (GMT+3) of today.
Such disastrous and unexpected outcome is the reason why I chose not to trade during such major event and I was right, although the impact was more subtle for EURUSD which is the pair traded by my EAs.
So if you've been observing the other EAs in the MQL market, there are quite a number of popular EAs that took a pretty hefty draw down due to this event.
That is why I usually recommend traders to pause all your trading activity prior to such event and wait out till the market sentiment normalizes.
These major events are very good examples of times when we should intervene the EA to pause trading, and wait by the side line until the tide is over.
However that doesn't mean that we should always be intervening with our EAs frequently, because it defeats the purpose of automating your trading with EAs.
All my EA products are 100% automated, and we should just let the EA do what it is supposed to do and allow the algorithm to work itself out.
Major events like this UK election, the last 2 rounds of French election, Brexit, Grexit, and the US Presidential Election, were exceptions in which we should intervene and pause the EA.
Otherwise we should just let the EA do its job while you sleep - the beauty of automated trading: no screen time, no emotional roller coaster, more sleep and play time.
Anyway as we're waiting for the market to normalize, use the weekend to spend some time with your family and love ones.
I'll update here in this comments section again when I resumed trading with Grid Hero.

Today's GBPUSD chart explained it all with a sharp drop of 230 pips in a single M5 candle - an unexpected outcome from the UK election.
Theresa May's election strategy has backfired as she has failed to secure enough seats to form the majority government, which left the UK with a hung parliament.
This is a shocking outcome which is clearly unexpected by most, and the market sentiment was well reflected in today's GBPUSD chart - a 230 pips drop in a single M5 candle right at 00:00hrs (GMT+3) of today.
Such disastrous and unexpected outcome is the reason why I chose not to trade during such major event and I was right, although the impact was more subtle for EURUSD which is the pair traded by my EAs.
So if you've been observing the other EAs in the MQL market, there are quite a number of popular EAs that took a pretty hefty draw down due to this event.
That is why I usually recommend traders to pause all your trading activity prior to such event and wait out till the market sentiment normalizes.
These major events are very good examples of times when we should intervene the EA to pause trading, and wait by the side line until the tide is over.
However that doesn't mean that we should always be intervening with our EAs frequently, because it defeats the purpose of automating your trading with EAs.
All my EA products are 100% automated, and we should just let the EA do what it is supposed to do and allow the algorithm to work itself out.
Major events like this UK election, the last 2 rounds of French election, Brexit, Grexit, and the US Presidential Election, were exceptions in which we should intervene and pause the EA.
Otherwise we should just let the EA do its job while you sleep - the beauty of automated trading: no screen time, no emotional roller coaster, more sleep and play time.
Anyway as we're waiting for the market to normalize, use the weekend to spend some time with your family and love ones.

Today 8 Jun is the polling day of the UK Election, followed by the counting of votes the day after on 9 Jun.
As what I always do for such major event, I've paused trading on all my Grid Hero signals and finishing off early for the week. I'll monitor the election news as well as the market on Monday to assess when to resume trading.
I would recommend you to do the same as well, and then look out for my update in this forum when I resume trading.
Instructions to stop EA trading before the event:
1) Disable "AutoTrading" on your MT4
2) Then manually close all opened trades (if any)
Instructions to resume EA trading after the event:
After the event, just enable back "AutoTrading" on your MT4 to resume trading.
